💙 This one’s for the mums…
The mums who are always putting everyone else first.
The school runs, the appointments, the meals, the work, the endless mental load… and somehow, you end up at the bottom of the list.
But making time to train isn’t selfish. 💪
Carving out 45 minutes for yourself to move, lift, get stronger and feel fitter is an investment in you AND your family.
More strength. More energy. More confidence. More capacity to keep doing all the things you do every day.
Because when you show up for yourself, you’re better able to show up for everyone else too. ❤️
So mums… put yourself back on the list. You deserve that time. 🫶

🌟 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT — MEET TRACY!🌟
We absolutely love hearing from our members, and today we’re shining the spotlight on one of our superstars, Tracy! 💙❤️
Tracy trains across both our Strathmore & Essendon studios, and we love the energy, commitment and consistency she brings every time she walks through the doors. 💪
Hear from Tracy herself about her experience training at LTYB, what keeps her coming back, and why she loves being part of our community.
We’re so lucky to have you as part of the LTYB family, Tracy — keep smashing it! 🙌👏
Thinking about giving LTYB a go? Come and see what our community is all about. ❤️💙
❤️ If you’re looking for a reason to train, here’s the simplest one… because you CAN.
Sometimes we get caught up thinking exercise has to be about losing weight, changing how we look or hitting a PB.
But sometimes the reason can be much simpler than that.
You have a body that can move. A body that can get stronger. A body that can train. 💪
Exercise is a privilege — and one we should never take for granted.
So on the days when motivation is low, remember how lucky we are to be able to move our bodies.
Train for your health.
Train for your future.
Train for strength and longevity.
Train because you can. ❤️💙

🍑 GLUTE SPOTLIGHT: PRONE LEG LIFTS
Another simple exercise to help us switch on and strengthen those glutes! 🔥
For this one, we’re lying face down and lifting the legs behind us into hip extension — a great way to target the glutes while also working on control through the hips and pelvis.
👉 HOW TO DO IT:
• Lie flat on your stomach on a bench with your legs extended behind you
• Brace gently through your core and keep your pelvis heavy on the bench
• Squeeze your glutes BEFORE you lift
• Slowly lift both legs small distance
• Keep the legs long and controlled
• Lower slowly with control
🔥 THE BIG TIP: Don’t worry about how HIGH you can lift your legs!
If you lift too high and start arching through your lower back, you’re likely taking the focus away from the glutes. Think small movement + strong glute squeeze + controlled reps.
This exercise primarily works the gluteus maximus, while your glute medius and other hip muscles help with stability and control.
Sometimes the simplest exercises are the best for learning how to actually FEEL the right muscles working.
Save this one to try and keep following along with our Glute Spotlight Series 🍑💪

Strong is the best thing you'll ever feel.
Forget shrinking yourself. The women who love training aren't chasing a smaller number : they're chasing what strength gives them: the confidence of carrying your own bags, keeping up with anyone, and feeling genuinely capable in your own body.
Your 30s are the perfect time to build it. At LTYB Essendon your program is built just for you, coached in a small group where you're known by name.
Strength, cardio, or a mix : but once you feel strong, you won't look back.

🍑 GLUTE MEDIUS SERIES: WALL HIP HINGE
Next up in our glute medius series 👉 the standing wall hip hinge!
This is a simple but effective exercise for building hip control, stability and strength through the glutes, with a particular focus on the glute medius of the standing leg.
🔥 HOW TO DO IT:
• Stand side-on to a wall with your outside leg doing most of the work
• Lift the leg closest to the wall and gently press your knee into the wall
• Keep a soft bend in your standing knee
• Push your hips BACK into a hip hinge — think “bum back”, rather than squatting down
• Keep your pelvis level and your core switched on
• Drive through your standing foot and squeeze your glute as you return to standing
• Move slowly and stay controlled — you should start to feel that outside glute working! 🍑🔥
The key is control over range. You don’t need to hinge super low — keep your hips square and avoid letting your knee collapse inwards.
This is a great one for improving single-leg stability, hip strength and lower-body control, which can carry over into walking, running, lunging, squatting and everyday movement.
Give it a try and follow along for the next exercise in our series! 💪
🍑 MUSCLE SPOTLIGHT: THE GLUTE MEDIUS
We’re kicking off a new series all about activating + strengthening some of those important muscles that can often be undertrained or forgotten!
First up 👉 the glute medius.
The glute medius sits on the outside of your hip and plays a BIG role in:
✔️ Stabilising your hips and pelvis
✔️ Keeping your knees tracking well during movement
✔️ Supporting balance and single-leg strength
✔️ Helping with walking, running, squatting and lunging
✔️ Supporting good movement patterns through your lower body
A strong glute medius can help you feel more stable, controlled and powerful through so many everyday movements AND your training.
Over this series, we’ll be showing you some simple exercises to help activate, strengthen and actually FEEL this muscle working. 🔥
Follow along and save these exercises to try in your next session! 💪
