WINTER WEDDINGS

Think open fires and mulled wine.
Velvet jackets and cozy cuddles.
Hearty food and heart forward celebrations.

Bec and Simon chose to marry in June last year.
They entered their ceremony together.
Had their bestie Gus the King Charles Cavalier deliver their rings.

And smashed out some of the most beautiful personal vows I have ever heard.

The whole day was warm, inviting and so very generous.

PLANNING A WEDDING WITH KIDS?

Congratulations! And how fabulous that your little people get to share your wedding with you!

I'm a Mum myself and know how to strike the balance of using your ceremony to celebrate your family as a sweet little unit, while also protecting some space, for you two, to just be you.

Meet the littlest love of Lozi and Stuy's lives - their daughter Charlotte.

Now Charlotte is the very best celebrant helper I have ever had.

She walked in with Mum. She stood with her folks and helped keep them calm. She held onto their vow cards. She supervised the ring exchange and made sure Chubbs didn't drop the rings.

She even used my microphone like a boss to announce Mum and Dad married, and helped rally the troops for family photos post ceremony.

She was Chief Cheer Leader, Vibe Bringer and Hype Girl Numero Uno. IN fact, Charlotte was so ace, she'll soon be doing me out of a job, and I couldn't be happier.

So if you have a little Show Person like Charlotte, they are so welcome to be involved. If you have a little person who is on the quieter side, and has alot of big feelings, that's okay too. We can find a way to make them feel comfortable and at ease, whilst still giving you some protected space to celebrate everything you've built together.

Well done team. Parenting is wild and I'm stoked that you're taking this time for you to celebrate!

IN OTHER NEWS...

Introducing the newest recruit to Megan Jordan Celebrant - Felix the Cat.

AGE: 6 years

LIKES: belly rubs, sleeping between my husband and I, chasing his own tail, his electric throw rug and hanging out precariously on the back of my office chair while I work.

DISLIKES: my office printer which he considers an affront to polite existence.

He's unlikely to make writing your ceremony more efficient, but he's pretty endearing on new client calls.

Shout out to Cat Protection Society Of Vic in Greensborough who were an utter delight to deal with and really helped us find the perfect fur brother for our existing cat Abel.

We can't imagine life without him!!!

NED + TAHLIA

Hollywood Glam met Mad Men for Ned and Tahlia's super cool micro wedding .

The lights were low.
The negronis were flowing.
And the vibes were high because there's no better way to do TGIF, than at a wedding with good booze, great food and all your very best peeps.

Such a joy to marry these two last month, and help them bring in the weekend right!

ELOPE WITH A SIDE OF INK

Logan and Jess flew from the other side of the world to make it legal here in Melbourne.

We got them married in a no fuss legals only celebration at the beach, they shared private vows on the rocks, and celebrated their totally official married status, with some sweet new ink at

So easy.

So very cool.

STUY + LOZI

The wild wanderers.
The dancefloor dominators.
And the good time gurus.

The theme for their wedding was 'Fun and Fabulous', and they embodied that energy throughout.

Lozi shone like the sun in her glorious .j.ritchie pillbox hat and sequined jumpsuit. While Stuy, our man of few words, absolutely wowed his Queen with some stellar vows, as their beautiful community of friends and family, wrapped around them both with so much love.

Their fab festival of love celebrated everything that was important to them:

The festival friends that have become family.
Good food and good wine.
And the beautiful life they have built with their gorgeous girl Charlotte (who 100% stole the show as celebrant sidekick extraordinaire!)

And the fact that they planned a 1PM wedding, on the Thursday before the Easter Long Weekend, just won EVERYONE'S hearts.
