Shoulder stability isn’t just about getting stronger—it’s about creating balance.
Hamish came to me with a long history of rugby, and years of contact had left his shoulders looking and functioning completely differently. His right and left sides almost looked like they belonged to different bodies, and any pushing movement exposed significant instability.
Rather than chasing heavier lifts, we stripped things back and focused on the foundations: building posterior chain strength, improving inferior glenohumeral joint stability, and restoring control through isolated, targeted work.
The result? Better symmetry, more stable pressing mechanics, improved confidence under load, and a body that moves the way it’s supposed to.
