The vibe continues, this time on another level. What a fantastic turn up to today’s Opening of the Greens at Camberwell Bowls Club with 52 players out having a roll on the upper Green. Great to have the Liberal Member for Hawthorn, John Pesutto again visit the Club along with Cr Victor Franco. The luncheon was amazing and it was great to see members of the Camberwell Camera Club step outside their comfort zone capturing that perfect snap. It was fitting having long standing members, Merrilyn and Adi officially roll down the opening Bowls. Congratulations to all winning recipients of the raffle. Thanks to all who helped to organise such a great day.

Last night was another great social evening at Camberwell Bowls Club, with plenty of laughs, conversation and some very creative pizza making! 🍕😄

For us, being part of a bowls club is about so much more than what happens on the green. It’s about community, friendship and having a place where people feel welcome and connected — all year round.

If you’ve ever thought about trying bowls, making some new friends, or simply becoming part of a friendly local community, we’d love to welcome you.

Camberwell Central Bowls Club was delighted to be recognised as a finalist in the Collaborative Club of the Year at the recent sports awards.

For us, being a great club is about much more than bowls. We’re continually working to create a welcoming, inclusive place where people can connect, feel part of a community and make a difference.

One initiative we’re particularly proud of is our ongoing support of Camcare, with our members generously donating groceries and essential items to help local people and families experiencing hardship. ❤️

It was wonderful to have this community contribution recognised and to receive our finalist award alongside other fantastic local sporting clubs.

A big thank you to all our members who contribute — whether it’s through donations, volunteering, welcoming new faces or simply helping make our club the friendly place it is.

Looking for a fun and friendly way to spend your Friday evening?

Join us at Campbelltown Bowls Club on Friday 26th June for our Open Night! While it might be a little chilly, just bring a coat or jacket and enjoy a great night out with wonderful company.

Whether you’ve never played bowls before, are curious to give it a go, or simply want to meet new people, everyone is welcome. Come along, have a game, enjoy a drink, share some laughs, and experience the friendly atmosphere our club is known for.

No experience needed – just bring yourself and a willingness to have some fun!

We’d love to see plenty of new faces there. Feel free to invite your friends and family along too.

🌞 Come and Give Lawn Bowls a Go at Camberwell Bowls Club! 🌞

We'd love to welcome anyone who's interested in learning how to play lawn bowls, whether you've never picked up a bowl before or you're looking to get back into the game. (Bowls supplied)

Join us:
📅 Tuesdays: 10:00am – 1:00pm
📅Thursday 3:00pm -5:00pm
📅 Saturdays: 12:15pm – around 3:00pm

Our club is all about having fun, enjoying the fresh air, and sharing our love of the game. We especially enjoy helping beginners learn the basics in a relaxed, friendly, and supportive environment.

Unfortunately, due to the predicted rain on Saturday, we have made the decision to cancel the barbecue that the Red Cross were kindly going to run for us.

Donations are still very welcome. The Salvation Army is such a wonderful and charitable community organisation, and we would still love to support them. If you would like to make a donation, please give it to Ronnie and she will ensure it is passed on appropriately.

That said, there will no doubt still be a few of us heading down to the bowling club for a drink, rain or shine! Even if the weather is ordinary, I’m sure there will still be some familiar faces around. We’d love to see you if you feel like coming along.

As the event has been cancelled, there’s no need to wear red.

Sorry that we won’t be able to hold the event as planned, but thank you all for your understanding and continued generosity.

❤️ Camberwell Bowls Club Supporting the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal ❤️

Join us on Saturday the 30th for our regular social bowls day, with a special community spirit as we support the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal.

We’ll be enjoying our normal social game, followed by a barbecue at around 2:30pm. We encourage all members to wear something red on the day and, if possible, bring along a cash donation for the barbecue. Any extra contribution for the Salvation Army donation box would also be greatly appreciated.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to come together, have some fun, and show our care and support for others in our community.

We hope to see a fantastic turnout for what promises to be another fun and meaningful day at the club! ❤️
