Parking isn’t just an inconvenience. For students, it’s another weekly expense.

56% of students told LTSU they spend more than $20 every week just getting to university.

That adds up quickly - especially when students are already dealing with the cost of rent, groceries, textbooks and everything else that comes with studying.

And when 91% of students say they would come to campus more often if parking was free, this isn’t only a parking issue.

It’s an access-to-campus issue.

The University has heard the concerns. Students are still waiting for action.

If parking costs are affecting you, keep the conversation going below. 👇

76,000 views in 24 hours. 👀 Clearly, students have something to say about parking at La Trobe.

And the message is pretty clear: parking costs are affecting how students access campus. 91% of students told us they would attend campus more often if parking was free.

We’ve raised these concerns with the University - but we’re still waiting for meaningful action.

Students shouldn’t have to weigh up the cost of parking every time they decide whether to come to campus.

Keep talking about it. Keep sharing it. The more students speak up, the harder this issue is to ignore. 📣

It’s time for the University to take action on parking.
