One of the biggest mistakes in golf is telling players to simply “rotate more.”
Rotation is something your body produces when you use the ground effectively.
The best players create pressure into the ground, shift it at the right time, and use ground reaction forces to organise their movement. Rotation is simply the result of that sequence.
If you chase rotation without learning how to interact with the ground, you’ll often compensate with excessive upper-body movement, inconsistent low point, and a loss of speed.
Instead of asking:
“How can I rotate more?”
Ask:
“How can I use the ground better?”
Master pressure, timing, and force into the ground, and your body will rotate naturally, more efficiently, and with far less effort

Most golfers never learn WHEN to shift pressure.
They’ve been told to “get onto your lead side,” but timing is everything.
With an iron, elite players begin to re-center pressure before the club even reaches the top of the backswing. That early pressure shift allows the body to sequence correctly, creating the space and forces that produce effortless lag, shaft lean, and optimal spin loft (compression).
A wedge is different.
Less movement off the ball.
If you’re chasing lag with your hands, you’re looking in the wrong place.
Lag is often the result of shifting pressure forward as your body mass is moving the other way!
Stop chasing positions.
Start understanding movement.
That’s where real ball striking begins.
Avoid swaying late.
Push hard into the ground to create rotational forces.

What’s your ideal attack angle relative to your club head speed?
You must also appreciate land angle , launch and spin to optimise ball flight.

don’t be left out.
One of the biggest mistakes in junior golf is trying to make kids look like tour players instead of helping them move like athletes.
Young golfers don’t need to be obsessed with perfect backswing positions. They need to learn how to jump, rotate, balance, push against the ground, and coordinate their body. Great movement creates great positions, not the other way around.
The best junior players aren’t just technically sound; they’re explosive, adaptable, and capable of producing force efficiently. Athleticism gives them the foundation to develop speed, consistency, and longevity in the game.
Rope visual/ flight controller.
The closer to the rope, the steep the attack angle.
The steeper the attack angle, the ball flight will be dragged lower.

DM CHANGE: for a 90 day training program outline how to incorporate technical change and game based performance.
Before you worry about club positions, ask yourself this…
How do you use the ground?
The best coaches don’t just teach the shaft pitch, they understand ground force reactions and how your interaction with the ground influences everything above it.
Your feet aren’t just there for balance. They’re your connection to the ground, creating the forces that allow the club to return to the ball with speed, consistency, and control.
Poor footwork often leads to:
• Heel and toe strikes
• Inconsistent low point
Improve how you use the ground, and you’ll often improve your strike without thinking about the clubface at all.
Have you ever thought of training this way?

Training movement requires physical and or visual evidence.
“I think it’s good” has less value than “the evidence suggested this is what happened”
If it feels u comfortable, it’s probably a good thing.
Nothing is easy when making change.
Support systems via coaching will make this process seem less if you’re committed !
