🔵🟡 70 Years of St Kevin’s🟡🔵
2026 marked 70 years since the formation of St Kevin’s GAC. In true Kevin’s style, we celebrated this anniversary with a club dinner dance which also gave the opportunity to present our annual awards.
On the night, we honoured the hundreds of men and women who have shaped our club over the past 70 years; the committee members, players, families, friends, volunteers and supporters whose dedication has made St. Kevin’s what it is today. We continue to remember with gratitude those who are no longer with us, but whose contributions remain an enduring part of our story.
From its foundation, St. Kevin’s has been a diverse and inclusive club, and we proudly continue that tradition today. It is one of our greatest strengths and a key part of who we are.
On behalf of everyone at St. Kevin’s GAC, a massive thanks to you all for your commitment, support, and contribution over the past 70 years. Your efforts have built a club and community that we are all proud to be part of.
Having 7 trophies keeping watch over the dance floor wasn’t bad either…

🔵🟡 Goodbye Wayne 🟡🔵
After many years at the heart of St Kevin’s, the legend Wayne Quirke has recently made the move back across the pond to once again call Ireland home.
Wayne first got involved with the club back in January 2015 after being persuaded by his brother 👀 He went on to give 11 seasons of service coaching and helping out wherever was needed with both our men’s and ladies’ football. Over that time, Wayne wore many hats serving as our club President, Vice-President and Secretary, as well as taking on the role of GGV President.
On the sideline, Wayne was involved in some memorable days for the club, most notably the ladies’ senior football league and championship double in 2023. He had many successful campaigns as manager including the men’s intermediate football league win in 2021 and the ladies’ Gosburn tournament win in 2026. Wayne also had success with the wider Australian GAA scene adding an Australasian Championship win with the Victoria women’s footballers in 2022 to his accolades 🏆
Away from the sidelines and floodlights, Wayne has been the heart of St Kevin’s for many years. He was always heavily involved in the committee, the social side of the club, and would always put the hand up to do the countless tasks that keep a GAA club running. Whether it was organising events, helping behind the scenes, or being right in the middle of the action, Wayne was a huge part of club life and is already sorely missed!
In recognition of everything he has given to St Kevin’s, Wayne has been awarded lifetime membership of the club.
A massive thank you to Wayne for his time, effort and commitment over the years. Best of luck back home, you’ll always bleed the blue and gold of St Kevin’s 🔵🟡
