Moving up and down... like a rollercoaster, this event is exactly that!

With it's magnificent views across Melbourne, steep climbs and speedy downhills, through forests of tree ferns, the Rollercoaster Run is full of atmosphere and energy.

12km, 23km, or 46km... the choice is yours!

We're thrilled to have return to the Rollercoaster Run in 2026, where they'll have their showcase of trail shoes that will have you covered with confidence as you tackle the terrain through the Dandenong Ranges.

We're 8 weeks out from Melbourne's Mountain Run in the Dandenongs, but it's never too early to start thinking about those finish-line celebrations, where every finisher (over 18) will receive a free can of refreshing brew from our official partner, Bright Brewery.

The beginning, middle and end of the 12km Twilight Mad Mouse ❤️ Enjoyment levels maxed out on golden hour!

We love this event as it’s suitable for a first time trail runner all the way to the seasoned veteran pushing through their own personal barriers 🙌 and for some reason, everyone in the Twilight 12km seems to know how to have a proper good time 😎 the stats of the course are below:

Good times loading, 2026 entries are now open 🥹 we can’t wait to be back with you all under the lush ferns of the Dande’s, throwing high fives, hurling lollies at Doongalla, dressed up a little madder than usual; all in the name of one epic experience out on the trails that is uniquely Roller Coaster ❤️

THE RACES of Roller Coaster Run 😍

46k Double Loop Ultra:

This is the ultimate challenge for someone looking to step it up to the Ultra running scene! This race sees elites smashing a hot pace at the front, to first time ultra runners aspiring to complete this incredible feat 💪

This unique challenge sees runners complete the 23k loop then turn around and do it in the opposite direction. It’s amazing how different a loop can seem in reverse, especially on tired legs. Don’t be fooled there is 2200m+- of vert in this epic, so strap yourselves in because it is a wild ride 🔥

23k Single Loop:

This is a dynamic course which follows well made undulating trails through the ferny forests of the Dandenong National Park. Don’t be fooled by the beauty, there is some steep terrain to challenge the legs and the roller coaster peaks and valleys add up to a stout 1100m+ of vert!

12k Twilight Mad Mouse 🐭

Starting at 6pm, this course is perfect for anyone from the ultimate Pro to the trail newbie! It offers the full trail experience, from the breathtaking climb up Observatory Track to the equally breathtaking view at Bourke’s Lookout, to the thrilling downhill of Zig Zag Track to the friendly community coming together at the finish. Wear your best clown outfit (and head torch), because the Mad Mouse is famous for being a Party 🎉

1.23k Kids Carousel:

Roll Up, Roll Up! Trail legends of the future, we are calling YOU! Kickstart your kid’s trail running experience with the race on all the kids’ lips. This friendly looped course around Kalorama Reserve is sure to get their hearts beating and faces smiling ☺️
