The Western Bulldogs had the most difficult fixture in the AFL in 2026, facing the strongest average level of opposition across the season.
Gold Coast and North Melbourne were also among the clubs dealt tougher draws.
At the other end of the scale, **Hawthorn had the easiest fixture in the competition**, narrowly ahead of West Coast and St Kilda.
A pretty significant difference in schedule strength from top to bottom.

Amazing win by the Gold Coast in the AFLW at odds of 6.50. We rated them a 29.3% chance for a 90% overlay. They did it easy in the end.

With 5 Swans suspended this week, it’s worth looking back at what happened to Adelaide after Izak Rankine’s suspension.
The Crows’ next 3 games:
• R24 v North — Line: Adelaide -35.5
Won by 13 → 22.5 pts below the line
• QF v Collingwood — Line: Adelaide -8.5
Lost by 24 → 32.5 pts below the line
• SF v Hawthorn — Line: Adelaide -1.5
Lost by 34 → 35.5 pts below the line
Across those 3 games, Adelaide performed more than 30 points per game worse than the betting line on average.
One suspension can disrupt a side more than expected.
So what happens when Sydney loses five players at once?
Will the Swans suffer a similar drop-off?
