Limited new membership applications for our foundation obedience level (dogs aged between 6 months and older on 26/07/2026) are now live on our website. These applications are for a class running at 11:00am on Sunday mornings. The first class will begin at 11:00am on Sunday 26 July. THIS FIRST CLASS IS COMPULSORY - DO NOT ENROL IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND.
Please note you can only enrol one dog per application (if you have more than one dog, you can arrange for your second dog to start with us at a later date).
To enrol:

(a) up to date with their core vaccinations (or has an equivalent titre test result); and

This platform allows you to upload the documents we need to check before you can start with us - your dogs’ vaccination record/titre test results and your ID.
4. AWAIT YOUR CLASS ALLOCATION EMAIL - We will contact you to confirm your class details (including the name of your instructor and other information such as what to bring with you on your first day) once all places have been filled and everyone has uploaded all of their relevant documents to Better Impact.
If you visit our website and see the message “out of stock”, all our available memberships have been exhausted. If you miss out this time, please don't contact us asking to be put on a waitlist. We are working hard to offer as many places as possible.

FOUNDATION OBEDIENCE CLASSES (DOGS AGED SIX MONTHS AND OLDER)
Tomorrow late afternoon to evening (Tuesday 24 June), we will be releasing places for a 9.30AM SUNDAY MORNING Foundation Obedience class, commencing on Sunday 12 July, via our website croydondogclub.com.au.
Enrolment instructions will be included in an announcement on both Facebook and our website. Places will go very quickly so please remain respectful if you miss out.
IS YOUR DOG SUITABLE?
We are receiving an increasing number of enquiries in respect of aggressive and reactive dogs. Please note our volunteers are not behavioural trainers and cannot assist with these issues - our classes focus on general manners / obedience skills only. If you are experiencing a serious behavioural problem, please reach out to a professional positive reinforcement trainer instead of enrolling in our classes. Placing a fearful dog in an overwhelming environment can be very stressful for them and others.
ELIGIBILITY & ENROLMENT
- To be eligible to enrol in this class, your dog must have been born on or before 12 January 2026, and you must be available to attend class at 9.30am on Sunday mornings starting on Sunday 12 July. If you purchase a membership but do not meet these requirements / do not attend the class for which you have enrolled, your membership will be cancelled.
- This class includes a compulsory, in-person, dog-free lesson at 9.30am on Sunday 12 July. If you cannot attend this introductory session, your membership will be cancelled.
- After the introductory lesson, this class will run continuously at 9.30am on Sunday mornings, starting on Sunday 19 July.

Limited new membership applications for our puppy school level (dogs aged between 12 weeks and 6 months on 14/06/2026) are now live on our website. These applications are for a class running at 11 am on Sunday mornings. The first class will begin at 11 am on Sunday 14 June.
Please note you can only enrol one dog per application (if you have more than one dog, you can arrange for your second dog to start with us at a later date).
To enrol:
1. CHECK THE REQUIREMENTS - These memberships are a puppy class commencing at 11 am on Sunday 14 June. Please ensure that on Sunday 14 June your dog will:
(a) have received at least its first two vaccinations (or have an equivalent titre test result); and
(b) be aged between 12 weeks and 6 months (aka born on or between 14/12/2025 and 22/03/2026.
If you do not meet these requirements, your membership will be rejected and your payment refunded.

Will your dog be older than 6 months of age on this date (born before 14/12/2025)? Your dog is only eligible to enrol in our Basic Obedience class. We do not have places available in Basic Obedience at the moment. Please keep an eye out for future updates.
Will your dog be 12 weeks old or younger on this date (born after 22/03/2026)? Your dog is only eligible for our Pre-School Class (for puppies aged 8-12 weeks of age). You can visit our website for more information on this class, but please be aware that preschool books out 4-6 weeks in advance (ie we are unlikely to be able to book in a pup who is 8-12 weeks old today).

(b) Enrol in Puppy Foundations Classes (ages 12 weeks to 5 months only) – Croydon & District Obedience Dog Club

As we come to the end of National Volunteers Week, we wish to say a massive thank you to every single one of our volunteers! They turn up week after week in rain, hail or shine for both you and your dog. We would not exist without them so thank you all!
