Larapinta Trail - What an EPIC adventure!
Over the school holidays, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders from Heathmont Scouts, 1st Maroondah and 3rd Ringwood East Scout Groups, travelled to Central Australia to hike sections of the iconic Larapinta Trail. It was an amazing adventure through breathtaking landscapes, rugged gorges and some of Australia’s most spectacular views.
The hike tested everyone with early starts, long days, rocky terrain, blisters and changing weather. Along the way, our Scouts showed resilience, teamwork, independence and a positive attitude, supporting each other through every challenge.
Beyond the hiking, the trip offered opportunities to learn about the region’s unique environment and cultural significance, while building lasting connections and memories.
Thank you to our volunteer leaders, families and supporters who made this expedition possible, and to Alice Springs Scout Group for accommodating us and providing such generous support.

Congratulations to all our Scouts on this outstanding achievement. The Larapinta Trail is a real challenge, and you embraced it with determination, enthusiasm and true Scouting spirit.

🥾 Larapinta Trail Adventure Awaits! 🌄
Next week, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders from Heathmont Scouts, together with 1st Maroondah and 3rd Ringwood East Scout Groups, will embark on an epic adventure along the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory.
The team of Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders will hike just over 105 kms across 8 days, experiencing the breathtaking landscapes of the West MacDonnell Ranges, challenging themselves physically and mentally, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
This expedition is the culmination of months of planning, training, fundraising and preparation. We are incredibly proud of everyone taking part and the commitment they have shown to make this adventure possible.
We wish the entire team safe travels, strong legs, great weather, and an unforgettable experience on one of Australia's most iconic walking trails. We can't wait to follow their journey and hear their stories when they return!

Mother’s Day weekend is here, Scouts are running our annual flower stalls to help you celebrate the amazing Mums and mother figures in your life 💐

🗓 This Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th May
⏰ Saturday 9am – 5pm Sunday 7am – 6pm (or until sold out)
📍 Three locations:
• McDonald's (Canterbury Rd, Bayswater)
• Anaconda (Bayswater Rd, Bayswater)
• Canterbury Rd outbound (near Cadbury Factory, Ringwood opposite The Rings)
