Machine is back up and running again with all new spindles. A 4 month delay. Concentricity numbers from the 1st trial look great! This is exactly what testing is for - finding the weak points and fixing them. Back on track now. Running a few more trials then turning focus to rifling.

The goal is to at least equal, or better beat, the best precision barrel makers anywhere in the world. No compromises.

1st reaming trial.

Initial drilling trials went well. A few more to go in uncovering optimal parameters for the straightest bore possible. Vid is breakthrough - where the drill breaks through the blank and coolant flows out the tailstock instead of the chip box.

Drill, Ream and Rifle machine electrics box is done, save calibration and testing. Electronics and coding is now the focus. Working towards drilling trials by Xmas.
