Ramona is back from .canada and teaching tonight, Monday July 13th! 🔥🔥🔥

Here you see her dancing with her partner in the Strictly Throwdown semi finals.
Couples battled each other for a spot in the finals later that night. Ramona and Brandon made it!

We will not be dancing this fast tonight, but we will be swingin and bring the energy! 😊

Ramona and Miya had a blast at the Quad Club on Wednesday, dancing it up with the !!! Great night! ✨🤩
They can’t wait to dance with you tomorrow. 💕

Join them TOMORROW, June 13th from 2-5:30 for an afternoon of Int/Adv Solo Jazz.

This WORKSHOP, Step It Up!, will dive into what a POWER MOVE is, and how to use it! 🔥🔥🔥

Dancers will explore technique, choreography, and improvisation. All the while following the journey of what lifts them, powers them, and spices it up! ⬆️ 💕

The fun doesn’t stop! 🤩

Last week we spent time on the language of jazz…scat singing! 🎶

It wasn’t easy, taking a lot of bravery to express ourselves, and try something that could be new for you. ❤️ So much gratitude for everyone calling, and responding. Speaking and listening. 🙏🏼🙌🏼

It was really beautiful. 🥰

We used claps, slaps, and feet, building on the previous class.

We practiced singing and making rhythms while dancing! We took turns. One person holding it down, the other dancing just going for it! Could be something already in the music, the rhythm of the step, or something that the dancer came up and felt to express.

✨✨✨✨

We kept the beat somewhere in our bodies…the internal metronome. You can see it in the first video, carried through into the dancing in the second clip.

This week, it’s a World Lindy Hop Day celebration of more rhythms in some swingouts and promenade variations! Yes!!
