When the going gets tough... Sunday's hardy Beginners Weekend crew out for another glide!

The YHA Cross Country Ski Club recently hosted a successful beginner's weekend at Falls Creek. Our beginners acquired new cross-country skills in the Nordic Bowl area and inner trails. We had other groups enjoying ski tours out to Sun Valley, Mt Mackay and Pretty Valley.

Throwback to the Solstice weekend back in June 2121. There was snow!!! ❄️❄️❄️❄️
We had recently come out of a lockdown. We had mask and density rules in the lodge. ….
However that didn’t stop us intrepid adventurers touring around Mount Hotham summit.
Let’s hope 🤞🤞for snow this season so we can get back out there.

For our Solstice weekend we rented ‘Chalet Flaubert’ (B’Rush Ski Lodge at Mount Hotham) for an evening of deceit, treachery and murder. 🔪 Thieving, affairs, in**st, and poisoning. …but don’t worry,, YHA Cross Country skiing solved the murder!
We enjoyed good food, good company, a sauna and a hot tub. We swapped skiis for hiking boots 🥾 and even found a patch of snow and a waterfall.
