B Turf - R1 vs Canterbury

What a way to start the season for Dheer Kallro who blasted 131 off 100 balls! A staggering 25 fours and 2 sixes was capped off with a club record B-Turf partnership with Adam and a ten wicket win

B Turf - R2 vs Nth Balwyn

Fan favourite Michael Bell brought up his maiden century on another remarkable day for the 2nd XI. In trouble at 6-74, Belly alongside Payney (88*) put on club record 7th wicket partnership of 206

B Turf - R14 vs Heathmont

Chasing a massive total at Heathmont, Harry Larkey put on a clinic during a massive knock which ended on 127. A club record 6th wicket partnership of 191 with Adam (59*) helped guide the boys home.

E Turf - R12 vs HBCC

The master blaster hit eleven sixes on his way to a maiden ton in just 57 balls. Jacob Bevaqua brought up the century with a vintage pull shot for six.

E Turf - R14 vs Surrey Hills

Leaving the best til last, Senuk the superstar junior became the youngest centurion in club history when he scored 103 in the last game of the season. Supported well by Clint (85), the wonder kid brought up his ton in the last over of the day.

Executive Committee Announcement!!🐻

Jane Karopoulos steps into the role of President, a momentous occasion as the first female President for the Deepdene Bears. With experience on the Bears’ Executive Committee and as President on other elite sporting committees, she brings great experience to the role. Jane has been an integral part of our women’s program since its inception, acting as the Women’s First XI Vice Captain in the 2024/25 season. She is set to approach her presidency with an innovative approach to maintaining our inclusive Bears culture and aims to continue growing our programs, getting people down to celebrate/be involved, and see some good wins on the boards.

We also welcome Adam Bettiol who is stepping into the role of Club Secretary, bringing his many years of expertise to the fore. His move into the Executive Committee will be of great benefit to both the operations of the club and also the wider community.

James Watt, Astrid Lawler and Ben Hudson all return to their roles in the Executive Committee. Please join us in welcoming them back as they guide us through the upcoming season.

Men’s 2nd XI Captains Announcement!!

Hayden “Dos” Salathiel returns as Captain of the 2nd XI with Steven Payne joining him as Vice Captain for their second year leading the side together.

This dynamic duo will continue to lead the side enthusiastically and we can’t wait to see what they will bring to the upcoming season.

Men’s 1st XI Captains announcements!!

Congratulations to Lucas Watt and Jake Stubbs who will be leading the Men’s 1st XI team for the 2026-2027 Season.

Lucas returns to his role of captaincy, and we welcome Jake stepping up in to the vice-captaincy role! They will both come with great determination and fight for the season ahead. We are certain they will lead with their usual Deepy spirit both on and off the field.
