Melbourne Screen Hub is turning FIVE! 🎉
Five years of creative chaos, collaboration, problem-solving, and making space for screen makers to do their thing.
From our early days at Yarraville to our new home in Footscray, Melbourne Screen Hub has grown because of the people in it — our members, partners, supporters and collaborators — who continue to make the Hub what it is.
A huge thank you to VicScreen for their ongoing support and belief in the Hub and its community — it has been instrumental in helping MSH grow and evolve.
Thank you for being part of the ride. We’re proud of what we’ve built so far… and we’re just getting started.

Liam Neeson is back in Melbourne filming a new action-thriller — and we’re ultra excited that the production will be based right here at Melbourne Screen Hub in Footscray💥
‘The Mongoose’ will be directed by veteran stunt professional Mark Vanselow and filmed across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Neeson plays Ryan, a war hero who, accused of a crime he didn’t commit and with nothing to lose, leads police on an epic televised cross-country car chase. 🚓
The production will inject more than $19 million into the Victorian economy, with an estimated 150 local businesses to be engaged, and will create 453 jobs for Victorian screen workers, including:
- 12 locals in Head of Department roles
- 16 cast
- 222 casuals and extras.
Let’s go, Victoria!
