AUGUST MEMBER OF THE MONTH — STEVE!
Steve first stepped through the Major Movement doors after a little gentle persuasion from his beautiful wife, Shalom… and we’re very glad she convinced him! These two have turned Reformer Pilates into their own version of date night, and we absolutely love having this dynamic duo in the studio together.
Steve originally came to us experiencing back pain, but his determination, consistency and willingness to challenge himself has been incredible to watch. He’s always keen to take the harder option when his body is ready for it and has progressed from moving with pain to feeling stronger, more capable and much more confident in what his body can do (and now WITHOUT PAIN) !!!
And if there’s one thing we know about Steve… he is IN IT TO WIN IT. He loves a challenge and even stepped up as our only male participant in the Winter Challenge! Steve, YES… you probably should have taken out the Winter Challenge BUT surely August Member of the Month is an even bigger honour?!
We’re so proud of your progress, your determination and the energy you bring to every class. It’s an absolute pleasure having you (and Shalom!) as part of the Major Movement community.
👏 Congratulations Steve — very well deserved! 🌟

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEIDI! 🎉
Today we’re celebrating our business + admin genius, and the brains behind all the ins and outs of Major Movement!
Heidi is the GLUE that keeps the team together (and somehow keeps all of our crazy ideas in line). She’s our problem solver, IT guru, business brain, unofficial therapist to all and absolute powerhouse behind the scenes keeping Major Movement running smoothly.
And if that wasn’t enough… she does it all while running her household and keeping up with the two little guys in her life!
Heidi, we appreciate you immensely and absolutely adore you. Major Movement simply wouldn’t be the same without you!
Help us wish our incredible Heidi a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY and show her some birthday love below! 👇🎈🎉
Well... that's kind of the point.
Growing older is a privilege.
Growing stronger, more mobile and more independent while you do it? That's a choice.
Here's to planking at 92.

The best kind of movement?
The kind you actually look forward to.
Move at your own pace. Challenge yourself. Have a laugh. Make some friends. And feel completely comfortable being YOU.
That’s the vibe we’re here for at Major Movement.
Thanks for the beautiful words Amy ..
And we promise that Alex will keep bringing the burn + banter to your weekly classes.
That headache might not be starting in your head.
Tension through your neck, shoulders or jaw, prolonged desk posture, teeth clenching and stress can all contribute to that familiar tight, heavy or pressure-like headache.
And when stress levels are high? Your nervous system can keep your body in a more guarded state; think raised shoulders, clenched jaw and muscles that just don’t seem to switch off.
This is where Osteopathy looks beyond the headache itself to explore what may be contributing to it; including your neck and jaw mobility, muscle tension, posture, breathing and everyday habits.
Sometimes the goal isn’t just to settle the headache… it’s to understand why it keeps coming back.
If headaches are new, severe, changing or persistent, they should always be appropriately assessed.
Book in with our Osteo genius Sarah to get to the bottom of your headache.

A huge Major Movement milestone for our beautiful Sam — officially joining the 100 Club!
Fun fact… did you know Sam is a twin AND has twins herself?! Talk about double trouble!
Between being a dedicated teacher and a busy mum, Sam still knows how important it is to make time for herself. Her Tuesday 7:15pm Reformer class with Sarah is her weekly non-negotiable and we absolutely love that.
Sam is one of those gentle souls with a cheeky twist; always bringing her beautiful energy (and a little bit of mischief!) into the studio.
100 classes is no small feat. It’s 100 times choosing to show up, move your body and make your own health and wellbeing a priority amongst everything else life throws your way.
We’re so proud of you, Sam! Here’s to the next 100!

Did you know your body produces a hormone during pregnancy that makes your joints more mobile?
It's called relaxin, and while it's essential for preparing your body for birth, it also means stability becomes more important than ever.
That's why pregnancy isn't the time to chase flexibility...
It's the time to build strength, control and confidence.
Pilates helps you:
Support your growing bump
Improve posture
Reduce back and pelvic pain
Strengthen your glutes, deep core and pelvic floor
Improve breathing and body awareness
Prepare for labour and postpartum recovery
The key is knowing how to move safely as your body changes.
That's exactly what we'll be exploring in our upcoming Pregnancy Pilates Workshop with Alexandria.
Sunday 13 September
A practical Mat + Reformer hybrid workshop designed to help you move well through every stage of pregnancy.
Stay tuned to learn more information—bookings open soon.
