Today was an incredibly special day for our family at Run Melbourne! 🏃♂️🏅
While I’ve been busy training for my first-ever full marathon, my older son, Varun, stepped up to take my place in our yearly 10K family ritual. Not only was it his first-ever official race, but he absolutely crushed it—finishing in 1:02!
Right on his heels was my wife, who crossed the finish line in 1:04, clocking her personal best to date in her third running event. He might have beaten her by just two minutes, but they both walked away absolute champions today.
I couldn't be prouder of these two. Watching the family tradition continue with Varun stepping into the running shoes is the best motivation I could ask for. Next up: marathon day
What made this event more special is my running buddy Naresh Neladri participated in the 10 K run as well (who also has been a regular in this event). His wife was amongst the crowd cheering us and taking photos.
This is what building friendship and family looks like. We drink together and also push each other hard to get fitter.
A special congrats to my wife Radha Ramprakash . Doing everything you do and finding time to train and achieve your PB - I am in awe as to where you find the strength from. I am lucky to have you as my life partner.

Week 1 - Run 1
15 week Sydney Marathon Training
Run slower to run longer and faster. Something I always struggle to follow. But determined to do it the right way with this training plan.
Very happy my first run , long run for the week was done at a slower pace than what I normally do. My average heart rate was around 125 bpm, even though I finished strong in the last km.
I will be sharing my training and journey for the next 15 weeks. I hope anyone who wants to take up running can benefit from this.
I am being guided by my dear friend and iron man athlete John Moses

Been on and off with weight training for a really long time. I am in the process of preparing for my first-ever full marathon (In August). I decided to also get back into weight training to complement my running. My kms per week have been gradually increasing. The weight training target is to do it at least 3 times a week. Hoping to stay consistent with weight training from this week.
It is tough work. I enjoy the process and the pain :-)
