This week we held the Monthly medal event for August.

With a great turn out in the event we could only habe one outright winner.

Congratulatioms Marin Efendic in taking out the event.

Marin was in full voice today. He was hapoy and having a great time and of course playing great golf.

With 67 strokes nett Marin beat all competitors taking out this month medal and also taking out the Group A win also.

In second we had Ray Collins with 71 strokes Nett

And in third Mark Kingsley with 71 Strokes net also.

The winner of group B was Ray Collins Well done to Ray in winning group B.

I want to thank everyone dor the great golf played today.

We are a great club.

Race To Riverside Cup

This week we see swift movement from Marin Efendic who has take maximum points from the last two events.

Aaron Murphy still Leads the cup. 502 points

Chris Kratsis in second 358 points

Darryl Andrews 348 points

Marin Efendic 342 points

And Darren Newby with 314 points round off the top 5

With Aaron continually scoring in the Majors he will be tough to catch.

Keep the heat on amd you never know what could happen.

Hi all sorry for the miscommunication regarding Winter cup results.

I was made aware that those who are members are eligible for the cup only.

So having said that, we would like to congratulate:

Yvonne Briggs and Darren Newby for being the recipients of this years winter cup for the ladies and the men.

We all know that to win the cup you need very consistent play.

So happy that we can present you with the cup come seasons end

On a side note i also want to say congratulations to Gino Catherine from our eagle ridge crew who played amazingly well scoring 40 points both rounds.

Race to Riverside Essendon Golf Club

With the trip away done and dusted we have a clear leader in Aaron Murphy who delivered a telling blow to the leader board.

He is now 126 points clear of the pack.

A big mover up the leader board achieving 108 points from a possible 120 was Darren Newby who has really improved his game and showing some great consistency across the three days.

Still time to catch Aaron however it is getting tougher.

Also today we have our first Grand final participant for the Match play event for 2026.

Good evening all and what a great day it was 4 bbbb pairs event held in sensational conditions.

Weather wise it was the perfect day to hold an event.

Now everyone had an awesome day, none more then Daniel Terzini and David Lukey
Who shot 68 nett for the day.

Well done to David And Daniel on there great victory.

Great to see the pair dominate.

They came first and in second we had Jason Bartle and Shane Clarke shooting 64

And in third Pepe Palma and Pat Mcdermott shooting 62.

Great result all.

Next week we have our trip away to Yarrawonga.

The trip is going to be epic.

Joan & Jim MaCallum Memorial Trophy

In what was a wet and cold day we celebrated a great event which is held annually.

It is a major feature of our draw. And one that is highly sought after.

Our winners today where the pairing of:

Fiona Munro and David Gibbons shooting 64.5 Net for the day.

2nd Yvonne Briggs and Jason Gleadhill shooting 67.5

3rd Bernie Ross and Michael Pasqual shooting 72.

Congratulations to the winning pair winning by 3 strokes and playing amazing golf together.

We always find that the winners of this event know each others strengths and play the game that suit them well.

Congrats to all who participated.

Next Week we hold the 4bbbb Stableford event off the white tees.

Also starting 8.18Am we have the Semi finalists for the Match play event

Just a reminder that the Joan & Jim McCallum Memorial Mixed Foursomes is on this Sunday.

Please arrive by 7:30am and meet in front of the Pro Shop for a quick briefing on the day's play before our 8:00am shotgun start.

The forecast is looking a little wet, so please make sure you bring your umbrella and rain gear. Then again, this is Melbourne... if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes—it'll probably change (and then change back again)!

After the round, The Riverside Kitchen will be catering lunch for everyone who has booked. The $20 entry fee includes both your competition fee and lunch, so stick around after the golf and enjoy a meal with everyone.

Gayle will once again be behind the bar serving drinks and food throughout the day, and we'll also have our raffle, so please bring some cash and support the club.

We're looking forward to another fantastic day partnering up with the ladies for one of the most enjoyable events on the Riverside calendar. Hopefully the only thing getting soaked on Sunday is the golf course—not the scorecards!
