The build phase is complete 💪🏼
11 weeks of intentional training, increased food and a structured plan to see just how much we could improve my physique.
Week one (left): 24th April - 68.6kgs
Week two (right): 9th July - 71.8kgs
+ 3.2kgs
Here’s what the build looked like:
• Glute-focused training
• Upper body back in the mix
• 4 training sessions per week (3 lower + 1 upper maintenance)
• 20 minutes of cardio daily
• 10,000 steps per day
• Around 2,000–2,200 calories per day, with flexibility to enjoy meals out along the way
Now it’s time to rein it back in.
Today is day one of the deficit.
The goal? Lose 6–8kg and reveal the physique built underneath.
This is bodybuilding.
This is body recomposition.
You’re not meant to spend all year dieting if you want to build shape, muscle and improve your physique.
The real work happens during the building phase.
The cut simply reveals it.

If you're still saying "I just want to look toned," pull up a chair because you genuinely need to read this!
Toned isn't even a real thing, it's just the word people reach for when they don't actually know what they mean, so let me translate it for you. What you actually want is visible MUSCLE, that's it, that's the whole secret behind the toned look you keep asking for.
But here's the catch, you cannot see muscle that you haven't built yet, and there is no magic little exercise that reveals a shape that doesn't exist underneath. So it goes build phase first where you lift heavy, progress consistently and eat enough to grow, then a cut phase where you drop a bit of body fat so everything you built actually shows.
The body you want is built and then revealed, not magically toned into existence out of thin air. Stop chasing a word and start building what you actually want 🔥
If your rear delts are refusing to grow no matter how much you train them, come closer because your FORM is very likely the culprit. So many of you are swinging through this movement with your ego, using your traps and momentum to yank the weight back instead of actually letting those little rear delts do the work they're there to do.
See the difference here, the "bad" version is all shoulders shrugging and body rocking, while the good version is controlled, chest supported, and driving with the elbows nice and wide. Drop the weight, own the contraction, and stop robbing yourself of the results you're working so hard for.
Your delts will thank you babe. 🎯

Babe, that's not how any of this works 😭
"Toned" is just muscle with lower body fat. Muscle doesn't magically appear, it has to be built, and that usually means the scale goes up before it goes down 🤍
Newsflash babe, motivation is a liar and it is NOT going to show up every single day like some reliable little friend. Some mornings you're going to wake up feeling flat, uninspired and fully ready to talk yourself out of everything you said you'd do, and that is completely normal. But here's the secret the disciplined girlies already know, you don't wait to feel motivated, you just START.
Do the hardest thing first thing in the morning, whether that's your session, your meal prep or that task you keep dodging, and watch how much lighter the entire rest of your day feels. When you prove to yourself before 9am that you're someone who follows through, everything after that feels EASY in comparison.
Action first, feelings follow, not the other way around. 🔥
