Some exciting news. I’ve promoted myself.
I am now, officially, Chief Fun Officer. (Yes, I made the title up. No, I am not sorry.)
Behind the fun title is a serious mission. I want to help grow confident learners. Not kids who just memorise the right answer, but kids who know how to ask the right question.
That happens through three things:
🔍 Curiosity, because the best learners are the ones still asking “but why?”
❓ Great questions, because knowing what to ask matters more than knowing everything
🧭 Sound judgement, because the world doesn’t need more answers, it needs better thinkers
So that’s me. Coach BT, Chief Fun Officer, still here, still curious, still on a mission to grow kids who think for themselves.

Every parent needs to be asking right now: is my child actually ready for this?

If your child can Google the answer in two seconds, memorising it was never the skill that mattered. Yet that's still the skill in focus at school.

What they need now is sound judgement. It's the one thing AI can't do on its own behalf.

If you want your child ready, surround them with people who will help them build decision-making skills, and who are okay changing their minds when new evidence shows up, not just recall information.

That's what will make them more human, not less, in a world getting more technologically led by the day.

Building confidence starts with high standards.

In our Foundation English class, we start with the basics: handwriting first, then thinking and discussion.

Too many students can type and swipe on a screen, but their handwriting is illegible. And no matter how clever your child is, if they can’t communicate their ideas clearly on paper, they’ll struggle to show what they know.

Handwriting reflects headspace, too. Messy handwriting often means a messy, scattered approach. Clean handwriting builds the discipline to structure their thinking, and respect for their own work.
