Lalor parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run / walk put on by the community for the community at 8am every Saturday morning in Lalor, Victoria.

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Lalor parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful gardens and get physically active in the process. Event number 476
15th August 2026

This week 60 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 10 were first timers and 13 recorded new Personal Bests 🎉🎉. We welcomed visitors from Diamond Creek, Coburg, Darebin and more! Representatives of 4 different clubs took part.

🖤💜 Massive congrats to our regular parkrunner, Allan, who celebrated a double milestone, achieving both his 100th parkrun and 25th time volunteering today. He showed true dedication over the years, and as we all know, an enthusiastic character, who brings in the energy whenever he's around, and encourages others 🖤💜

Well done to you, and to everyone who participated today!

The event was made possible by 5 volunteers, thanks to the few who stepped in last minute to ensure we were able to safely run the event:

Vincent LAM • Sean TEE • Richard GILLOWAY • Allan AHMET • Sanchit MAHAJAN

Plenty of spots available to fill over the coming weeks. parkrun is volunteer driven, and wouldn't be possible without them.

If you can, please help out if you're able to. Don't think of it as 'giving up your run', but rather think of it as giving back to the community that provides these events.

If you never volunteered, why not give it a go! All super easy roles and our RDs on the day are happy to help guide you.
