Promised to be inspiring evening as four outstanding leaders share their journeys, experiences and the challenges they’ve overcome, while reflecting on what it means to captain and represent their clubs both on and off the field.

Last Friday, Gaelic Games Victoria proudly hosted the inaugural 2026 GGV All Star Night at the Wild Geese Hotel, celebrating and recognising the outstanding players who have excelled throughout the 2026 League and Championship season.

The evening brought together players, clubs, volunteers and supporters from across Victoria to honour the very best of our games. It was a fitting celebration of the commitment, passion and dedication shown by our Gaelic Games community throughout the season.

The presentations commenced with GGV President Martin Byrne, who had the honour of presenting the 2026 All Star Awards, before recognising each of our Player of the Year recipients across all codes. A huge comhghairdeas to every award recipient on a fantastic achievement.

Following the presentations, everyone enjoyed a brilliant evening of music and celebrations with CLOVER ☘️ , bringing a fantastic atmosphere to mark a memorable occasion.

We would also like to acknowledge the tremendous work behind the scenes from GGV President Martin Byrne, Treasurer Sarah Keenan and PRO Ciaran Campbell, whose dedication in tracking performances across both the League and Championship, coordinating selections, and organising the event helped make the first-ever GGV All Star Night such a resounding success.

A special thank you to The Wild Geese Hotel for their continued hospitality and support in hosting the evening.

Finally, thank you to every club, player, volunteer and supporter who joined us to celebrate what was a landmark occasion for Gaelic Games Victoria.

Before he heads to Berlin, Sean is inviting the Gaelic Games community to come together for a 𝟱𝗞 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸/𝗥𝘂𝗻 around 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟭 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟬:𝟬𝟬𝗮𝗺. Whether you choose to walk, jog or run, every step taken will help support life-changing breast cancer research.

What a day it was. 🏆

From the first whistle to the last, players across all codes showcased the very best of our cluichí Gaelacha on the other side of the world. The skill, passion, determination and sportsmanship on display made for a truly special occasion and a fitting conclusion to the 2026 season. 🇮🇪🇦🇺
