Best of luck to all of my juniors competing in this week’s Victorian Junior Amateur.
The work is done—now it’s time to trust your preparation, embrace the conditions and commit to every shot. Stay patient, control what you can and enjoy the challenge.
I’m proud of the effort you’ve all put in and can’t wait to see you compete.
Go well! 💪🏻⛳

Well done to Bell and Olivia Jin on their outstanding performances at the SSV Under 12 event earlier this week. 👏⛳
It’s fantastic to see all the hard work paying off and some of Victoria’s young golfers continuing to raise the bar. The future of junior golf is looking very bright! 💪🏻🏌️♀️

April 2026
As I looked back through the season, I realised there were a couple of athletes whose achievements deserved a special mention.
Tom continued his outstanding form, collecting multiple victories throughout the year. Highlights included wins at Yarra Yarra, the Schoolboys Cup alongside the Wesley team, and another title at The National. His work ethic, competitive mindset, and love for the game continue to set him apart. With his younger brother close behind and pushing him every step of the way, it’s exciting to see what lies ahead for both of them.
Abby also enjoyed a fantastic season. She claimed the Women’s Club Championship at Mornington, helped lead Southern Peninsula’s pennant team to a runner-up finish, and capped it off by winning the Peninsula Champion of Champions title. A well-deserved reward for the dedication and consistency she’s shown throughout the year.
One of the most rewarding parts of coaching is celebrating the success of athletes who continue to put in the work day after day. Congratulations to both Tom and Abby on what has already been an outstanding year.

March 2026
March was a month that highlighted the many different aspects of the journey.
I had the chance to watch several of my athletes compete at the Riversdale Cup, with Hamish once again putting himself in contention and showing he’s continuing to move closer to that breakthrough result.
Back at Golfers Hub, there was also time to focus on the little things that help build a great environment. A few hours spent landscaping and improving the front of the facility was a surprisingly enjoyable change of pace and a reminder that building a business extends well beyond coaching.
Another personal milestone was being invited onto the Platform Sports podcast to discuss junior golf development, the pathway into U.S. college golf, and the growing role that physical preparation plays in helping young athletes maximise their potential.
Coaching, competition, business, and sharing knowledge—March was a good reminder of why I enjoy what I do.

February 2026
One of the most rewarding parts of my role is working with talented young athletes and their families, and February was a great reminder of that.
I had the privilege of continuing to work with both Hugo and Nyomi as they progressed on their respective journeys. Hugo claimed the Commonwealth Club Championship in his age division, a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the hard work he’s putting into both his golf and physical development.
It has also been great to watch Nyomi continue to grow, with her physical development keeping pace with an already impressive list of achievements on the course. Just as importantly, it’s been a pleasure working alongside her supportive family, who play such a significant role in her ongoing success.
Seeing young athletes develop confidence, capability, and a love for the process is one of the most fulfilling aspects of coaching.

With a much-needed break underway, I thought I’d use the next week to reflect on the year so far.
There have been some great personal and professional wins, a few challenges, and plenty of lessons learned along the way. I’m looking forward to sharing more of the journey and some reflections from the first half of 2026 over the coming days.
January 2026
The year kicked off with the Rosebud Webex Players Series, where it was great to see some of Australia’s best golfing talent on display at my home course while spending time with the family.
The twins continued to grow and develop, Golfers Hub was beginning to take shape, and Hamish continued to prove he belongs on the professional stage while preparing for the next chapter of his journey in collegiate golf in the United States.
A busy start to the year, but one that set the tone for what was to come.
