Yes, I know I'm a day late... but it's still August 31 somewhere in the world! πŸ˜„

I'd like to take a moment to recognise the incredible efforts of our Facilities Team: Marc, Dorothy, Vin Diesel, Harris, and Simon.

Week after week, they put in countless hours behind the scenes to ensure our facilities are maintained and ready to go each Friday afternoon. From mowing and line marking to general maintenance and setup, their work often goes unnoticed, but it plays a huge part in making our centre a great place for our athletes and families.

The team would love a few extra hands. Helping out can be as simple as spending a couple of hours on a ride-on mower in the cool of the evening, and every little bit makes a difference.

If you'd like to get involved, please send me a message or email [email protected], and Marc will be happy to point you in the right direction.

A huge thank you to our Facilities Team for everything you do. Your dedication helps keep the Sharks swimming strong! 🦈

🦈 The season kicks off next week, and we know everyone is excited to be back!

Over the off-season, we've been reviewing the feedback you shared through our member surveys. Thank you to everyone who took the time to tell us what we're doing well and where we can improve. We've listened, and throughout the season you'll start to see some of your suggestions put into action.

One of the most common requests was for our weekly programs to be published earlier.

The good news... the answer is YES! πŸŽ‰

This season, you'll be able to view the full month's program in advance, making it easier for families to plan ahead.

πŸ“… View the monthly programs on our website:
https://springwoodsharks.au/athletics-at-springwood/centre_evening_programs/

We'll also be pinning the program to our social media channels shortly for easy access.

Keep an eye out for more exciting announcements over the coming days as we count down to another fantastic season at Springwood Sharks! πŸ’™πŸ¦ˆ

PS: Our returning athletes do have a reputation for being fashionably late when it comes to registrations πŸ˜‰. If you haven't finalised everything yet, now is a great time to get your ducks in a row. If you're having any difficulties with registration or have questions about the upcoming season, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Centre Manager

A quick reminder that Springwood will receive your competition bibs for you. As soon as they arrive, we'll let you know when they can be collected on a Friday night.

P.S. Returning athletes will keep the same competition number, so please leave your current bib attached until you receive your replacement.

With the season only three weeks away, having your bib ready to go will really help us hit the ground running. If you've forgotten to register, consider this your friendly reminder that the countdown is on! ⏳

REGISTRATION BIBS – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

With the new Little Athletics season just around the corner, here’s a quick reminder for returning families and some important information for those joining us for the first time!

πŸ“¬ Bibs are sent directly to families once an athlete is registered for the season.

Returning athletes will keep the same registration number as last season, with their new age group updated on their bib.

New this season: Both McDonald’s and Coles will feature on the registration bib, which means a separate Coles patch is no longer required on the uniform.

Need a replacement bib during the season? Replacement bibs can be ordered at any time through your Sport:80 portal.
