THROWBACK THURSDAY🗓️
We couldn’t do a throwback without featuring the iconic grandstand🙌🏼
A look back in time at the history:
-1811: The township was designed to include Richmond Park as an ‘open public green space’
-1882: A fence enclosed the ground and a concrete wicket was laid on the oval to play cricket
-1884: A pavilion (grandstand) of timber on brick piers facing east across the oval was completed
-1980: Severely damaged by fire
-1994: Comprehensively restored after the fire
-1999: Officially named the Rod McConville Stand in memory of his outstanding service to the local community to sport especially cricket
-March 2010: It was added to the NSW State Heritage Register

Pre-season lunch at RG McGees!
Our captains kicked things off with a chat about the season ahead, uniforms were distributed, and then it was time to settle in for a very long lunch! The only thing that could bring it to an end? The blackout 💡
