We’re thrilled to see one of our own, Dee Mason, taking on the role of MC at the 2026 Victorian Sailing Awards at Sandringham Yacht Club! ⛵️✨

Dee has been a much-loved member of McCrae Yacht Club since she was a child, so it’s wonderful to see her bringing her talents to such a special occasion.

A fantastic master of ceremonies with a great sense of humour and plenty of wit, Dee knows how to keep an audience engaged.

We’re looking forward to hearing Dee bring her warmth and wonderful personality to the Victorian sailing awards.

Congratulations to Casey Imeneo for again being selected as a finalist for Victorian Female Sailor of the Year! A past winner and often at the front of the Australian women's fleet, Casey is also a fantastic support and guide to the youth in our aspiring high performance squad, alongside our Coach (and other finalist) Mark Bulka. They (and we) think the world of you Casey!

Catching up on some winter results.

Well done to immediate Past Commodore Scott Watson (right) who managed to pull off a 3rd in the Slalom Heavyweight event in the Windsurfer LT Nationals in Yeppoon, QLD a couple of weeks ago. Scott's also excited to have been elected to the new Regional Advisory Committee for Australian Sailing - Victoria.

Time to catch up on some winter results. Massive congratulations to Mark Bulka, now back from Europe, who achieved:
🥇1st Italian Contender Nationals
🥇1st Dutch Contender Nationals
🥈2nd Kiel Week (Contender)
🥈2nd Contender World Championships (sailing with a rib injury no less!)

Dee, sailing on the Team UK boat 'Jolene' was pipped by the French in the sudden death finals having dropped a '1st' to get there. Clearly sailing very well. Fingers crossed we see an full Australian team next time for what is an excellent regatta according to Dee.

We ❤️ this. Can't wait to see the Cherubs on the lawn ready to race!
