A lot of people are lifting weights and exercising with a posture that is already compromised, commonly starting with anterior pelvic tilt due to a weak core, hamstring and glutes, mixing in with shoulders rolled forward with a forward head tilt. Then they go lift weights without focusing on strengthening the weakened muscles or releasing the muscles that are over active and tight.
This is a disaster for the body and causes a lot of issues down the line and corrective training to pull you back into alignment.
One of the best things you can do for yourself is to go get a static posture and dynamic movement assessment by a qualified personal trainer or physio to see how everything is sitting to find out where your body is weak and overcompensating. Then you will be able to retrain the body back into alignment and avoid tight muscles and injuries related to misalignment.
