⛵ WINTER SERIES UPDATE ⛵
Looks like an absolute cracker for Sunday’s races! We’ve got a sunny 26°C and a gentle 7-knot North breeze locked in—perfect conditions for a Sunday sail on the river.

As a reminder, we moved this race forward to avoid clashing with Father’s Day the following weekend. We’re running two short courses, so come down early, get rigged up, and enjoy the winter almost spring sunshine.
All fleets and novices are very welcome!

We will also be rerigging some of the other club boats at 10.30am, getting them ready for the upcoming season, lend a hand if you’re feeling handy.

The Maylands Yacht Club has become the traditional venue for the Guitar Orchestra’s Winter Recital. The orchestra is delighted to return this year with a program that showcases original works by Australian composers.
The Western Australian Guitar Orchestra is a volunteer guitar orchestra that combines fundraising for charity with performing a combination of traditional and original music. The orchestra members are involved in arranging and writing music for the orchestra and vary from enthusiastic amateurs to tertiary students and professional teachers and performers.
The orchestra is directed by composer and guitarist Jane Darcey.

A couple of channel markers went AWOL last night.

2025-2026 Presentation Evening

Ahoy there!
Book your seat at the Presentation Night, being held at the Maylands Tennis Club on Friday 12th June. Doors open 6pm.
Dinner will be served around 7pm (seafood and vegetarian paella).
Then followed by Presentations, Dessert and then more live music by our resident yacht rock bank "Now and Then".
It will be a Nautical theme dinner dance so start polishing your dancing deck shoes.
The tennis club is located at 56 Clarkson Road, Maylands.
Tickets are only $25/head. Bar will be open.

Then we're rocking out to the sounds of resident Yacht Rock band "Now and Then".
