Mayfield United FC

Mayfield United FC Mayfield United Football Club is a local, not for profit sporting club. The organisation has a proud history spanning 100 years from 1922 to 2022.

The club currently has 14 teams ranging from juniors to men and women's in various divisions. The club currently has 14 teams ranging from juniors to men and women's in various divisions, as well as representing Zone Premier League with our third, reserve and first grades. Along with the clubs rich history comes a number of life members who we thank for their support over the years. The club has a mission to ensure it remains diverse and offers an environment where both men and women's sides are provided the same level of support. In 2017, all 4 women's teams took out the minor premierships which is historically significant. They then went on to take out all 4 major premierships in 2018, along with our under 14’s Tigers FC and Over 35’s E grade. On top of these 6 grand final wins, our ZPL men’s teams took out the coveted spot of 2018 Club Champions, as well as a minor premiership for first grade. In 2019 our men's zone premier league first grade side took out the minor premiership for the second year in a row, and our reserve grade side won the grand final for the first time in our history. 2020 saw our O35/B, U16/A and women's A grade teams win minor premierships in unbeaten seasons. We continued our success in 2021, with our first grade side winning their 4th premiership. Our women's A grade side won their 6th consecutive premiership, while our men's A grade side also won the premiership in their competition. With the 2022 season about to get underway, Mayfield United is looking to go even better than our previous record breaking years. The club wouldn't be able to operate to the level it does without the support of our fantastic sponsors, including our major sponsor Mayfield Hotel. We look forward to a fun and prosperous partnership with Mayfield Hotel, and can’t wait to see what the coming years bring. This is it, the last game of the season. Reserve grade take on Kotara South in the Zone League One grand final. 12.30pm kick off this Sunday at Darling Street Oval.

They need our support, so bring your green and help get them the win. How many eggs for breakfast!

2027 is a monumental year for Mayfield United SFC, marking 20 years since we introduced our first women's team. Since then, we've grown into one of the largest and strongest women's clubs in the region, and we're ready to go to the next level.

Players, managers and coaches that are looking to upskill their game, take on a challenge and be part of something big can submit an eoi for Zone women's football. Equal opportunity, an inclusive environment, and a club that becomes family are what you'll get in return.

Special shout out to Stephen Wilson, our club photographer. Stephen is a photographer for fun, in between work and his travels. He always makes time whenever he can to come and photograph each team at home, then makes finals games work as well. Sometimes that means spending a whole weekend driving to different grounds to capture the games so we all have something to look back on from the season.

An absolute legend, thank you Stephen. One last game to go!

The season has ended for first grade today, going down 1-2 to Thornton. Scores were locked at 1-1 and looked like going to extra time before a goal to Thornton in the 89th minute ended any chance of a coneback. Not the ending we wanted but proud all the same. Congratulations on a great season.
