The Central Coast team have had a big 3 days of the Stage 1 League Stars Tag gala days across the region over the last week. ⭐️🏉

A total of 72 teams from 24 local schools took part in these events to bring the total to over 800 students participating in the League Stars days! 🌈

A big thank you to Erina Eagles for hosting our Southern day, Wyong Roos for hosting our Northern day & Terrigal Sharks for our Catholic & Independent gala day. 💫

The Stage 1 tag events are a great way for students to try out the game in an alternate format, with many participating in our sport for the very first time & for most schools, their first external sports excursion for these students. 🙌🏽

We are looking foward to our Stage 2 & 3 gala days next Term! ☀️🏈

The Hunter team were at Lakeside Sporting Complex in Raymond Terrace for the annual U/13s Boys NRL 9s with over 200 students from 15 local schools taking part in qualifier #2 of the competition.

A big thank you to Raymond Terrace Roosters for hosting another great day of Rugby League & to the Happy Mobile Cafe for being there to support the event.

Congratulations & best of luck to Callaghan College Wallsend Campus & Tomaree High School who have progressed through to the semi finals of the competition for 2026.

We look forward to doing it all again next Thursday at Raymond Terrace where a further 13 Schools will take part in the U/13s NRL Girls 9s.

Jersey Day 2026

A day the Northern Corridor game development team enjoy each year with our staff throwing on a jersey to show support to this great cause.

Jersey Day was inspired by the gift of life that Nathan Gremmo gave to six people when he became an organ donor at age 13 after tragically passing away. Jersey Day is all about raising awareness for Organ Donation. This campaign is all about raising awareness.

A key highlight for the month of August was the delivery of two All Abilities Gala Days held across the Maitland and Newcastle regions.

A total of 11 schools were invited to participate across the two pilot events, providing students of all abilities with the opportunity to experience rugby league in a supportive, inclusive, and engaging environment.

The events were designed to promote physical activity, teamwork, social connection, confidence, and enjoyment, with students participating in a modified League-tag format that allowed everyone to be actively involved regardless of their ability or previous sporting experience.

The positive engagement from students, teachers, and support staff reinforced the importance of providing inclusive sporting opportunities within our community. These events continue to demonstrate the role rugby league can play in bringing schools together and creating positive experiences for students of all abilities.

Thank you to the students from Cardiff High School & Callaghan College Wallsend for their assistance across the delivery of these programs.

We look forward to opening these events up to All Schools across the region in 2027.
