Some awesome results from the Bundaberg Short course Winter Carnival

A huge congratulations to our athletes on another successful weekend of swimming!

Ashlynn had a great Saturday afternoon of racing. Adding the 200m backstroke, 100m backstroke and 100m IM to her short course events. She also managed to shave 4.5secs of her 50m breaststroke!
She came home with a bronze in the 200m backstroke 🥉

Millie also had brilliant performances,
50m breaststroke -new PB...7.37sec off
50m backstroke - new PB....9.26sec off
100m freestyle -new PB......5.93sec off
50m freestyle.....well won't talk about that 🫣
And new to her line up...
25m freestyle.....bronze medal 🥉

Harry I think had the hardest work to do as he was in the most competitive age group 15 and over. Unfortunately he was up against some very hard competition. Some of those boys had just competed in Sydney for Commonwealth qualifying and age championships on the gold coast 😱
Anyway....
His achievements were...
50m Butterfly -new PB......4.14sec off
50m freestyle -new PB......1.62sec off
100m breaststroke - Bronze 🥉
50m breaststroke - 5th
100m freestyle -6th
And adding 25m in a rather quick 13.66 sec to his events too- 5th place.

The 3 had an incredible weekend in Bundy, congratulations on your outstanding achievements, positive attitudes, and sportsmanship. We’re so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what you achieve this coming season! ❤️🖤🤍🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🎉

The Maryborough Swimming Club Inc 2026/27 Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 17th May at 10.00am am at the Maryborough Aquatic Centre (cnr John and Kent Sts, Maryborough).
All committee positions will be declared vacant.
Without a committee, the Club will not be able to function, so everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Our club presentation will be held straight after at 11.00am at the aquatic Centre
