The final days of the Golden Gloves finished on a real high for Shamrock! 🥊☘️

Max claimed his Match Belt with a big RSC win, showing massive improvement. Mikey backed up with his second fight in two days to win his Golden Gloves final, and Isabella finished the tournament off for Shamrock with a strong win of her own.

A great way to finish the Golden Gloves. Plenty of positives and some great results from the team! 👊

💔 A HEARTBREAKING DAY FOR SHAMROCK AT THE QUEENSLAND NATIONAL GOLDEN GLOVES 🥊🍀

It was an extremely tough day for the team yesterday, with plenty of close fights and heartbreak along the way.

Marshall was first up, returning from a six-month layoff after a broken arm, going down in a split decision. Noah followed in another very close split-decision loss.

Eryn was next and, after a couple of big exchanges and some confusion over the counts, unfortunately had his fight stopped.

Xander had nobody in his weight class, so he stepped up into the next weight division and the open class, giving away both weight and experience. He put up a great fight and went down in a very close contest.

Last up was Riley in his first fight for Shamrock. I thought he put on a fantastic display and, in my opinion, clearly won the fight. The result was hard to take, but I was proud of how he handled it afterwards: “Let’s get back in the gym Monday and get going again.” That’s the attitude we love! 💪

It was heartbreaking yesterday, but we move forward and TODAY WE GO AGAIN! 🔥

COME ON SHAMROCK!

Harvey and Max were both in action yesterday.

Max had a really strong start to his fight and looked good early, but his opponent came over the top of him in the last round. A good experience, and it looks like we may have another match lined up for Max tomorrow or Saturday.

Harvey fought hard but was just outpointed on the day.

Both boys gave it their all and will be back at it again.

Golden Gloves Update 🥊🔥

Great start to the Queensland National Golden Gloves!

🥇 Tara – Gold Gloves
🥈 Margo – Silver Gloves
👊 Banjo – Tough loss, but what an effort! 11kg dropped in 10 days to make weight. Now that he’s at his fighting weight, we can focus on technique and performance rather than making weight.

Today Max and Harvey step into the ring. 💪

We also had two walkovers, with Riley and Marshall both progressing.

Proud of the whole Shamrock team. Keep pushing, keep learning, keep fighting! 🥊☘️
