Instead of waiting a whole week to practise a new skill, they’re back in the pool the very next day — reinforcing what they’ve learnt, building confidence and creating momentum.

And sometimes… that’s exactly what a swimmer needs for something to finally CLICK! 🙌

Our September Holiday Swim Intensives are running across both weeks of the school holidays:

Longer days, warmer weather, beach trips, backyard pools and weekends spent around the water are just around the corner.

And before we know it… summer will be here.

Now is a great time to make swimming lessons part of your child’s weekly routine (if they aren’t already!) — giving them time to build their skills, confidence and independence in the water before the busy summer months arrive.

Whether your little swimmer is taking their very first steps in the water, building confidence, or working towards their next swimming milestone, our Flying Fish team is here to help them along the way. 🐟

We are Sunshine Coast’s private, purpose-built Flying Fish Swim School. We are enthusiastic owners and run a team of incredible operating staff. We pride ourselves on having a genuine swim community with brilliant families and passionate swimmers, and we are on the look out for an experienced instructor to join our dynamic, growing team.

We would love to hear from you if you are a committed, energetic, nurturing, experienced baby, toddler and pre-school swim instructor. Our classes run on weekday mornings, afternoons, and Saturday mornings. Additional hours will be available for general learn-to-swim and school swimming programs. We have 1 x 10m indoor MINERAL HEATED pool, 1 x 7m indoor MINERAL HEATED pool, and a 25m outdoor HEATED pool.

Personality will be KEY in our selection process. Our new team member must have incredible people skills to prioritise connections with management, staff, parents, and kids.

You and the role:
• Deliver quality structured learn-to-swim lessons, specifically for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.
• Adapt the learning experience to meet the individual needs of the students
• Connection and collaboration with parents
• Be a team player - this is key!
• Ensure a safe and progressive environment for all students
• Keep it fun!

Essential:
• Swim Australia- (SAT) &/or Austswim- Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (TSW)
• Swim Australia- Babies & Toddlers (B&T)
• Austswim- Teacher of Infant & Preschool Aquatics (INF)
• Current First Aid and CPR- HLTAID001
• Current Blue Card

RACE NIGHT coming in hot!! 🏊‍♂️ MAROOCHY RIVER SWIM CLUB will host their next RACE NIGHT on Friday, 10th Oct.
This night will be open to all swimmers within our program from the Barracuda level and up.
The objectives of the club are to -
💦enable a platform for competitive swimmers, social swimmers, non-competitive swimmers, learners and families to practice racing
💦offer an affiliated club in which they can compete for
💦ensure it offers a community club aligned with swimming core values
💦assist in educating young (and old) swimmers on the correct techniques used in swimming racing
💦Have fun in a competitive and well-managed environment
💦Grow family connections to swimming
The club is running this night again as a COME AND TRY approach for interested swimmers. For more information email [email protected]
