Why did your Physio refer you to an Exercise Physiologist?

Osteoporosis affects millions of Australians — and most don't know that structured exercise is one of the most evidence-supported interventions available.

At BMF we work with an evidence-based approach to bone health:

→ Progressive resistance training to support bone density maintenance
→ Balance and fall prevention work
→ VALD strength testing at baseline and milestones
→ GP and specialist-linked care throughout

This is not about training through pain or ignoring risk.
It's about using movement as the clinical tool it is — properly prescribed, carefully progressed.

What changes when you go from seeing an EP once a month to having one in your corner every week?

Everything.

Consistency is what creates compound movement results. One session tells us where you are. Weekly sessions build the pattern, load the tissue progressively, and adapt when life gets in the way.

BMF memberships include:
→ Weekly 1:1 Exercise Physiology sessions
→ Group classes
→ Supervised open gym access
→ VALD retesting at milestones

This is not personal training. This is clinical exercise care — ongoing.

From $55 a week. Link in bio.

Lower back pain isn't just about treating the area that hurts—it's about improving the way your body moves.

Here are 5 key movement principles we often focus on when rehabilitating lower back pain:

✅ Neutral Spine – Learning to maintain a strong, supported spinal position during movement.

✅ Hip-Centric Rotation – Encouraging movement through the hips rather than overloading the lower back.

✅ Unloaded Knees – Improving movement patterns to reduce unnecessary stress through the knees and lower back.

✅ Posterior Chain Activation – Strengthening the glutes, hamstrings, and back muscles to better support the spine.

✅ Proficient Range of Movement – Building confidence and control through movement without unnecessary compensation.

Every person is different, which is why rehabilitation should be tailored to your individual needs, goals, and lifestyle.

If lower back pain is stopping you from doing what you love, we're here to help.

Send us a message or book an assessment to get moving with confidence again.

If you've had pain for more than 3 months — this is for you.

The most common mistake people make with chronic pain is waiting for it to go away.

Rest might reduce it short-term. But avoidance rarely resolves what's driving it.

Here's what the evidence shows:

→ Chronic pain often persists because the nervous system has learned to protect
→ Prolonged rest increases pain sensitivity
→ Graduated, structured movement — prescribed properly — is one of the most effective long-term interventions

At BMF we assess what's actually driving your pain, then build a movement plan that works with your body — not against it.

Swipe to understand why exercise may be the answer you've been looking for.

You've seen the physio.
You've done the exercises.
The pain is still there.

This is one of the most common things we hear.

Here's the difference between a Physiotherapist and an Exercise Physiologist — and why it matters for your recovery:

Physio: Diagnoses and treats the acute injury.
EP: Changes the movement patterns and builds the capacity that stops it coming back.

One fixes the problem. The other makes sure it doesn't become your new normal.

Swipe to understand which one you actually need right now.

Balance - Power - A little bit of chaos

The challenge was simple...
Jump onto the box without letting the dumbbell fall.

Simple in theory... not so easy in reality

Who do you think nailed it?

This is not a gym.

This is not a clinic.

It's what happens when you take both seriously.

At BMF we use the same diagnostic technology as professional sport — VALD ForceDecks and Dynamo — to understand exactly how your body is functioning, then build a movement plan around it.

No crowded gym floors. No rushed appointments. Just clinical precision and personalised care in a space designed for it.
