2025 was BIG ❤️‍🔥

The personal growth this year has been massive and even though financially it has been a tough one, I can’t look back with anything but gratitude.

While I will be deep in the journey of early motherhood in the new year, I wish for CDC to still offer dance opportunities for the adult dancers of the southwest in 2026.

We already have two classes with two incredible teachers on offer on the schedule, starting in February 2026 and I’m so excited to see who will be joining 🤩

here’s to a new year full of dancing, beauty, art and creativity! 🥂✨

While Mikku is on maternity leave, we’ve got two incredible teachers dedicated to keeping you all dancing through summer 🌞

Dale will keep you fit and grooving, while Maria will lead you through a pilates-informed embodiment practice 🌺

what a blast our dancers had, strutting their way down the main street at the street party last Thursday.

Celebrating Christmas, belonging and community, Margs showed up once again with colour, joy and sparkles! Loved the vibes, each year the street party gets bigger and better!

This show has felt like weaving three different spells through the body, each piece carrying its own spirit, emotion, essence and flavor of womanhood.

🖤 Season of the Witch
This one is especially close to my heart. Ray of Light was the first Madonna album I ever owned at eight years old, and I was completely entranced by “Frozen.” The witchy mystery, the drama, the way it moved something ancient in me. Twenty-seven years later it still sends shivers through my spine. Watching the Core Crew bring this piece to life with so much passion brought tears to my eyes. Madonna created this album right after becoming a mother, and there’s a depth and texture to it that makes choreographing to “Frozen” feel like pure magic. Thank you Madonna, you are everything.

❤️‍🔥Bad Romance
We all know the push and pull of a bad romance, when you know something’s off but somehow still feel pulled into the fire. Inspired by the delicious theatrics and chaos of Lady Gaga, this piece became a whirlwind of drama, emotion, and full-body expression. The creative process was absolute chaos in the best way, and the Contemporary class of 2025 met it with courage, humor, and heart. I applaud every one of these dancers for riding the wave all the way through.

A little bit of sass 🎀 A little spice 🌶️
This heels piece to the legendary Spice Girls let us lean into the full spectrum of womanhood, soft, strong, sensual, fierce, playful. We giggled our way through rehearsals and let our inner seductress lead the way. Women truly are multifaceted, and this piece celebrates every shade of us !
