Meet Julia 🐴

Hi, I’m Julia! I’m 24 years old and have been involved with horses for over 14 years. I have around 5 years of experience working at a professional show jumping stable, where I gained extensive experience in the training, care and management of horses.

I have completed several equine qualifications, including a Diploma in Equine Studies and Management, a Diploma in Equine Business Management, and an Associate Degree in Business Administration and Agribusiness. I am also a qualified riding instructor.

I actively compete in show jumping with my own horse and am currently competing at 1.00m level.

As an instructor, I enjoy helping riders improve their confidence, technique and connection with their horse. I believe lessons should be positive, practical and enjoyable, while being tailored to the individual horse and rider.

I look forward to helping you enjoy your time in the saddle and develop your riding skills! 🐎

Taylen made us a fantastic chocolate cake 🎂 after she slipped off her horse the week before 🫣🤣

Thank you for your effort!!! It’s so delicious 🤤 🥰😍

We have the rule here that you have to bring cake if you fall of your horse, and luckily not many people do fall off, else I’d be eating cake all day 😂😂😂

Last week, we had the absolute honour of welcoming a very special lady to Meraki. ❤️🐴

At an incredible 92 years young, Von officially became the oldest female rider ever to ride at Meraki, and what an inspiration she is! She rode our beautiful, trusty steed Dexter, who took wonderful care of her throughout the experience. 💙

Von’s courage, beautiful spirit and determination prove that age really is just a number and that you are never too old to enjoy the magic of horses.

It made the occasion even more special that we almost share the same name. She is Von, while many people call me Von or Vonny. 🥰

Von, it was a true privilege to have you ride with us, and we truly hope to welcome you back again soon! I can only hope that I will still be as brave, active and wonderfully fit as you are when I reach 92.

What an inspirational woman and a beautiful moment for all of us at Meraki Equestrian Centre. 💙
