Just while we are throwing ideas around, would anyone be interested in having a separate class that would involve walking through town? Or a regular lesson in the Manjimup Heritage Park (all breeds class)?

My private lesson today was with Caitlin, Jakey and Kali. Jakey is a rescued mixed breed who has a lot of trauma in his past. Kali is a 10 year old Kelpie that helps Jakey settle.

I love working with these guys as I can see the improvements each lesson. You will notice that the photos I took are a bit away from the guys. This is because I need to give Jakey a lot of space as he isn’t comfortable with me yet. No problems, I will give him the space he needs. He may never be comfortable with me, that is fine. We are not forcing him into anything.

Amazing work done by Caitlin and she is very much committed to helping Jakey.
I look forward to our next lesson.

I had little breed dog school today and the weather was a lot nicer than it was yesterday thank goodness!!!! I had 5 group members turn up.

We explored the Manjimup Heritage Park and did some exercises such as focus and ‘look’ when we were near triggers. We also did some exercises to help our dogs be calmer when walking towards other dogs. The farmer’s markets were on, so there were a lot of people around.

It was a fantastic lesson and I can see improvements in all our group members.

It was really windy at dog school today at the Manjimup Heritage Park, but I still had 11 members turn up including two new members. Moose the Newfoundland and Honey the Catahoula x.

We went exploring around the park and did some exercises along the way. There is so much to do and sniff at the Heritage Park, so we took our time. We then explored the Hamlet and the machinery, jumping up on logs and having fun with our furry friends.

It was a great lesson and I look forward to the next one. It will be held at Tiger’s Football Ground.

Hi everyone! Mark and myself have been keeping an eye on the weather charts which changes hour by hour - frustrating. As of this morning, it is going to rain on Saturday morning but I will still run the lesson. So bring some good shoes and your wet weather gear! I totally understand if you want to stay in bed!
