Congratulations everyone!!!

Wow. What a day.
On Saturday the 22nd of November we held the Annual Black Belt Grading for 2025. We were not disappointed!
This years grading was extremely spirited with high quality demonstrations and fantastic performances. From the Black Tips to the Masters, we witnessed an awesome array of techniques, levels and knowledge.

This grading was also special as we had four of our fifth degree Masters grade to sixth degree black belts. As part of their grading, they were required to present unique demonstrations of their abilities and understanding of Hapkido. We are proud to present Masters Ron Rees, Steve Tamanini, Tupoena Moekaa and Mitch Wetherell as our new sixth degree black belts.
A special congratulations to Eli Dutton on achieving his fifth degree black belt. Eli also had to create and perform a demonstration as part of his grading.

A big congratulations to all other graders - we were very pleased by your efforts and results. It was a massive day and you all rose to the occasion wonderfully. We hope everyone had the chance to rest up and recover from the weekend. We wish you all the very best on the next chapter of your Hapkido journey. One last special mention to Jo Dunham - congratulations on receiving the Scott Wetherell memorial award. Well earned.

First black belt training session of 2025 - thank you Master Moekaa, we left sweaty, happy and inspired!

What a great turnout for our 6:30pm class lastnight!

Great Tuesday session lastnight with some new faces who learnt the basics of Hapkido.

Our kids class learnt some bamboo sword work and the importance of treating a weapon with respect.
