Sometimes personal growth looks like journalling, meditation and deep inner work.

And sometimes it looks like…

“OOOH. I’m doing that bloody thing again.” 😂

And THAT, my friend, is still progress.

Because you can’t interrupt a pattern you haven’t noticed yet.

So if you caught yourself overthinking, people-pleasing, procrastinating, doubting yourself or mentally writing a 47-page disaster story today…

Congratulations. 🎉

You noticed the programme.

That counts. 💜

Awareness first. Change second. Beating yourself up? Not required.

“I’ll do it later.”

Ah yes.

Later.

That magical place where apparently we have more time, more motivation, fewer distractions and our s**t completely together. 😂

Your brain can favour the reward that feels good right now over the bigger reward waiting somewhere in the future.

So the uncomfortable task gets bumped.

“Tomorrow-me can handle it.”

Unfortunately, tomorrow-me eventually becomes today-me and would quite like a bloody word. 😂

🔥 THE RESET

Forget finishing it.

Just start ridiculously small.

Open the document.
Put the shoes on.
Write one sentence.
Make the call.

Starting reduces the size of the psychological mountain — and once you're moving, continuing can become easier.

🧪 THE LAB RESULT

You don't always need more motivation.

Sometimes you just need a smaller starting line.

🧠 Tiny Brain Reset

Before saying:

“I always do this.”

Try:

“I’ve done this before.”

One describes who you are.

The other describes something that has happened.

There is a big difference.

Your past behaviour does not have to become your permanent identity.

🧠🔥 SCIENTIST GONE ROGUE — #4

Your brain would like you to stay exactly where you are. How inconvenient.

Here’s something interesting about change…

Your brain LOVES familiar.

Not necessarily good.
Not necessarily helpful.
Not necessarily “look at me living my best bloody life.”

Just… familiar.

Which is why the moment you start changing, your old programming may suddenly become VERY chatty.

"Are we sure about this?"
"Maybe tomorrow."
"What if we fail?"
"What will people think?"
"Perhaps we should just sit quietly and reconsider our entire existence."

😂 Nice try, brain.

Because discomfort isn't automatically a STOP sign.

Sometimes it's simply what happens when you step away from a well-practised pattern and start practising something different.

So when the doubt gets loud, don't immediately assume you're on the wrong path.

Notice it.

Name it.

Then ask:

"Is this actually danger… or is my brain just throwing a tantrum because I changed the bloody programme?" 🧠😂

And then?

Take the step.
Post the thing.
Set the boundary.
Say yes.
Say no.
Be seen.
Choose yourself.

Because every time you practise the new response, you're giving your brain another experience to learn from.

Familiar built the old pattern.
Repetition can help build the new one.

🧠 Tiny Brain Reset

Catch yourself assuming the worst?

Pause and ask:

“What else could be true?”

You don’t have to force yourself to think positively.

You’re simply reminding your brain that its first answer isn’t always the only answer.

That tiny pause creates space.

And space is where new patterns begin.

Its hilariously accurate...and you might just learn something you didnt know!

Ever feel like part of you genuinely wants to move forward… while another part keeps finding reasons to stop you?

Maybe you procrastinate until “later.”

Perhaps you hesitate, overthink every decision, become overwhelmed before you even begin, or convince yourself that you’re going to fail anyway.

These are your Inner Interrupters—the familiar thoughts, fears and patterns that quietly interrupt your confidence, your progress and your ability to trust yourself.

The good news?

Your Inner Interrupter is not who you are. It is simply a pattern that has learned how to get your attention—and once you can recognise it, you can begin to interrupt it.

Take our free Which Inner Interrupter Is Running the Show? quiz to discover which character may be taking over behind the scenes and receive simple, practical guidance to help you respond differently.
