DARGO 2026- Trout Season 2026
Offically opening with most anglers arriving friday to great weather, and plenty of space along the beautiful river to set up their camps.
On Saturday anglers were still keen to wet a line and try their luck.
Saturday night a meal was prepared and cooked by Deb and Fridge. We were also
spoiled with Jelly cakes.
Thankyou to Bourney, Gail and Clarky for the use of their ovens to help get the meal
dished up on time.
The rain persisted during the evening but did not dampen the company
During the evening the river rose quite quickly due to the rainfall experienced during the
day, which made fishing quite challenging on Sunday, with Clarky being the only angler to land one.
There were 28 anglers entered for the weekend, with 17 Trout and 1 Bass measured for the competition. Presentation was held at 12pm on Sunday
Men’s Longest Trout :
1st Ray L 40cm
2nd Anthony M 38.2cm
Women’s Longest Trout:

LAKE TYERS 2026
The weather was beautiful for fishing
Plenty of fish caught on both days, but some anglers had trouble finding
them. A number of big flathead caught kept it interesting, with Dunsy then Brett, then Jack thinking they had the winner. But at the eleventh hour Brett brought home the goods with an impressive flatty, wiping the smile off his son's face! (Although Jack went
on to pick up AOV).
The club also did well in the pub raffles, with Clarky once again heading up to collect his prize only to find out his ticket was a wrongun! The pocket rockets, little Harry and Ebony both landed a fish and picked up a prize, and we loved having them back to entertain us all.
