The Bears are an amateur ice hockey team in the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL). Currently there are 10 teams in the AIHL: Sydney Bears, Adelaide Adrenaline, CBR Brave, Melbourne Ice, Melbourne Mustangs, Newcastle North Stars, Perth Thunder, Central Coast Rhinos, Brisbane Lightning, and Sydney Ice Dogs. A heartbreaking end to the 2026 Season.
Returning to the AIHL after a year unable to play, to make the AIHL Finals and get the chance to compete for a championship again is something we are incredibly proud of.
To our players and coaches, thank you for the commitment, sacrifice and countless hours you put into representing this club. You gave everything to the jersey and gave us a season that reminded everyone what this club is about. Passion, grit and unwavering determination.
To our volunteers, thank you for everything that happens behind the scenes to make this club what it is. The long days, late nights and work that often goes unseen are what make every game day, every event and every moment possible.
To our partners, thank you for believing in what we're building and for continuing to support the Bears both on and off the ice.
