Tomorrow, Friday 28 August, we’re inviting our MRFC community to wear purple and show your support for LGBTQIA+SB young people.

It doesn’t matter how much purple you wear — a t-shirt, socks, hat, nails, or even just a splash of purple! 💜

It’s a simple way to show that you stand for acceptance, inclusion, belonging and the right for everyone to be proud of who they are.

We’ll be wearing purple across the centre tomorrow — we’d love for you to join us! 💜

AUSactive Million Moves is coming to Macleod Y from 1–21 September!

Million Moves is all about encouraging Australians to move more, build healthy habits and discover the ways movement can fit into everyday life.

For 21 days, we’re challenging our community to get moving — whatever movement looks like for you. Whether it’s a workout, a walk, a group fitness class, a game of pickleball or simply finding more opportunities to move throughout your day, every move counts. 🙌

We’re proud to be supporting Wear It Purple Day next Friday!

Wear It Purple Day is an opportunity to show LGBTQIA+SB young people that they are seen, supported and valued, and that they deserve to feel safe and proud to be themselves.

This year’s theme, Colours of Courage, recognises the many forms of courage — from living authentically and speaking up, to simply standing beside someone and showing your support.

At Macleod Y, we believe everyone should feel welcome, included and comfortable being themselves when they walk through our doors. 💜

So, we’re inviting our members to wear purple next Friday (28.08.26) and show your support alongside our team! It could be a purple t-shirt, hat, socks, badge, nail polish or anything else you can find.

Let’s fill the centre with purple and show that everyone belongs here. 💜
