Leisa Payne School of Dance

Every parent signs up for the same reason... to see their child dance. What you don't expect is everything that comes with it.

Watching our dancers take the stage in the 10 Years and Under Modern Group at last year's Eisteddfod, you can see it in every step: the confidence to walk out under the lights and own it and the friendships built backstage, cheering each other on. A place they belong, no matter what.

Some kids dream of the stage. Some just love to dance. Both belong here.

Term 4 enrolments are now open. First class FREE. Message us today for more information....

There's nothing quite like watching a tiny dancer walk through our doors for the very first time... a little nervous, a little excited, and about to discover a love for dance that will stay with them for life.

To every teacher at Leisa Payne School of Dance who gets to be that "first" for a child... thank you. For the patience, the encouragement, and the way you make every little dancer feel like they belong from day one — whether they're stepping straight in or watching from the side for a few classes first. There's no rush, and no wrong way to begin.

38 years on, and it's still the moment we love the most. 💕

Term 4 enrolments are open, and their first class is free... book your trial class via the link in our bio or send us a message.

38 years. Thousands of dance classes. Generations of Mackay dancers. It started with one woman's dream...

Leisa Payne's vision to build a place where dancers could receive an elite dance education and still feel completely at home. Today, that dream is still growing! From our very first class to the ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, acro, musical theatre and vocal programs we run today.

From tiny Wiggles taking their first twirl, right through to graduates who've gone on to dance professionally on stages around the world. We've watched students grow into confident young women and men. We've watched some of our own students become our teachers. We've watched families come back, generation after generation, because once you're part of LP, you're part of the family.

38 years of memories. Thousands of stories. One incredible community. And the next generation is only just beginning. ❤️🖤

Ms Kiara has just returned from Singapore after adjudicating the 27th CSTD Singapore Regional Competition over six incredible days.

Having teachers who continue to work within the dance industry and are invited to share their knowledge and expertise both nationally and internationally is something we are incredibly proud of at Leisa Payne School of Dance.

Kiara loved the opportunity to watch and adjudicate so many talented dancers and returned home feeling inspired and excited to bring that experience back into the studio and share it with our students.

Congratulations Kiara, and a big thank you to CSTD Singapore for having her and her little family ❤️🖤
