A great night hosting two Junior Basketball teams and their parents from Townsville. The kids were kept entertained in the kid’s area, at the pool tables, and of course in the hitting bays. A lot of pizza and chips were ordered. Best of luck tomorrow on court to the “Townsville Sparks” and “Townsville Lightning”. Come see us again soon.

Eek! Our neighbours next door at Drummond Golf Mackay (& Townsville) have some pretty exciting news to share, and YOU TOO can experience the same...
Recently, Anthony & Percy travelled up the coast to our Townsville store to meet Jaxon Purdue! He'd reached out to our Drummond Golf Townsville team about getting fitted for the first time by our expert crew, and Manager & Co-Owner, James, was keen to help! A pretty awesome relationship was sparked from there, and Jaxon expressed an interest in becoming a Brand Ambassador for both Mackay and Townsville to show his support to not only that of his local region, but to a locally owned and operated venture.
A keen golfer when off the field, Jaxon graduated from St. Patrick's College in 2023 and joined the coveted North Queensland Toyota Cowboys NRL squad in early 2024. Jaxon owned a set of clubs that were completely wrong for his tall frame and swing style - too short with the wrong flex etc. Thanks to Drummond's own, MiMatch technology, Townsville expert, Carl, was able to find the perfect fit based on Jaxon's accuracy, distance, and unique ergonomics. He found his ideal combo by mixing; TaylorMade Golf P790 irons, QI4D woods, and MD5 wedges - all nicely nestled in a Drummond golf cart bag of course!
