Established in 1945 and consisting of both Junior and Senior League teams, the Souths Sharks compete The club entered the Football competition in 1945/1946.
HISTORY
Early in 1944 – the Railways formed another team and played as Railways No.2. One Sunday in 1945 a meeting was held on the verandah of Fred Hanses’ house in Romeo St. It was decided to change Railways 2 name to avoid confusion hence Southern Suburbs Sports Club was formed. With its first office bearers being President – Fred Hansen, Treasurer – Les Winton and Secretary - Sylvia Cocking. T

Our 20s, Reggie’s, and Ladies all came away with the chocolates yesterday at Sarina. But our A Grade just couldn’t match up with what Sarina bought to the Game they were just way too hungrier.
Next week we are back at Shark Park to take on the Miners in all 4 grades in our last Home Game for the season.
