🐾 Beyond Puppy School... Puppy Playgroup! 🐾
What comes after Puppy School?
For many people, it's the local dog park... but is that really the best next step?
Somewhere along the way, socialisation became confused with "meeting and greeting every dog in the neighbourhood." But that's not what puppies really need. They need positive, carefully chosen experiences that build confidence, emotional safety and good social skills.
Play is also a vital part of healthy puppy development. Through play, puppies learn communication, body language, self-control, confidence and how to interact appropriately with other dogs. But that doesnt mean they need to interact with every dog they meet!
Dogs are naturally social animals, and many develop their strongest social skills within a small, familiar group rather than one that is constantly changing. When puppies are overwhelmed by a steady stream of unfamiliar dogs, it can sometimes have the opposite effect, reducing confidence instead of building it.
That's what our Puppy Playgroup is all about.
Our aim is to create small, regular groups of puppies that grow up together, developing confidence, appropriate play skills and lasting friendships in the safety of our secure, private playground.

These are not training classes, but there'll be plenty of discussion, support and the opportunity to share experiences with other puppy owners. If there's enough interest, we can also arrange trainer-led sessions on topics such as puppy behaviour, nutrition, training and development.

🐾 Puppies 6 months and under
💉 Puppies must be up to date with their vaccinations and be in good health to attend.
6-week program – $60 Starting 2nd August
To help build confidence, consistency and lasting friendships, Puppy Playgroup is offered as a 6 week commitment.
At the end of each program, groups will have the opportunity to continue together in further 6-week blocks, allowing those friendships and social skills to keep developing.
Places are limited, and bookings are now open for our first Puppy Playgroup. Commencement date is 4th Oct
We're also taking Expressions of Interest for additional Puppy Playgroups. Future groups could be matched according to puppy age, size and play style, with alternative days and times offered depending on demand.
