2026 JUNIOR PRESENTATIONS 🖤💛
Last Thursday night we came together with United Football Club to celebrate our Junior Netballers & Footballers and the 2026 season.
A huge congratulations to all of our 2026 award winners!
It was a chance to celebrate not only our award winners, but every one of our young Tigs and everything they’ve achieved throughout the 2026 season. From our littlest NETSETGOers finding their feet, to our Country Champs Reps and right through to our U17s, we are incredibly proud of the talent, improvement, friendships and confidence we’ve watched grow this year.
A very special congratulations to our 2026 Junior Club Persons of the Year, Kaylie Walsh and Mollie McArdle! 🏅🏅 An award that recognises so much more than what happens on the court. Both girls have spent their season putting their hands up to help — coaching our younger Tigs, umpiring junior and senior games, filling in where needed and always supporting those around them.
We also celebrated our U9s... who, if you ask them, will very proudly tell you they didn’t lose a game all season! 😉😂. These little Tigs had an incredible season, improving every week, playing some fantastic netball and having plenty of fun along the way. They were an absolute joy to watch each week and certainly gave us plenty to get excited about. Keep an eye on this little bunch...... there are some serious superstars in the making!
Our NetSetGO participants also had an incredible year, learning the basics, building their confidence and, most importantly, having plenty of fun along the way! We’ve loved watching our littlest Tigs learn new skills, make new friends and fall in love with the game. We can’t wait to watch their netball journeys continue!
A big shout-out also went to our Junior Umpires. Many of these girls picked up a whistle for the very first time this season and, with mentoring from Sarah and our senior umpires, their confidence has soared! Some even stepped up to umpire their first senior games — an incredible effort from our junior umpires and another exciting sign for the future of our club. 👏
We also welcomed some new Tigs to the Longies family this season:
Dakota Evitts, Ellie Abbott, Isla Wyatt, Amia Smith & Gabriella Snudden
We also had the chance to say a very well-deserved THANK YOU to Kylie Pym for all of her hard work managing our netty canteen throughout the season. It’s a huge job behind the scenes and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you do for our club! 💛
Finally, a huge THANK YOU to our coaches, team managers, umpires, committee, volunteers, sponsors, families and supporters. It takes a lot of people behind the scenes to get our girls on court each Saturday, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part in our 2026 season. 💛🖤
Congratulations and thank you to all our junior Tigs on an amazing year. We can't wait to see what 2027 brings!
