The Carngham Linton Football Netball Club has five football and six netball teams that compete at senior and junior level in the Central Highlands Football Netball League. The club was formed back in 1969 through the amalgamation of Carngham and Linton Football Clubs, which each dated back to the 1870’s. The Saints have since become one of the most successful football netball clubs in country Victoria. Since the Carngham Linton Football Netball Club was first formed, the club has enjoyed significant on-field success across three different leagues. With a total of 17 senior football premierships and record levels of success across all grades in the previous Western Plains and Lexton Plains Leagues. The Carngham Linton Football Netball Club strive for excellence in all that we do, and attempt to reach our greatest potential as sportspersons and community members. Honesty, respect, friendship, support, team pride, integrity, social responsibility, effort and self-improvement are key values of our club. Senior Football Premierships -

We would also like to recognise and thank Clayton Scoble for everything he has given to our Senior Football program since taking on the role in 2020. Clayton has put an enormous amount of time, effort and commitment into the playing group and the club over the past several seasons, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he has contributed.

As we look ahead to 2027, we are excited to welcome Simon Brearley into the Senior Football coaching role and look forward to seeing what he can bring to the group and the next chapter of our club.

We would also like to acknowledge Greg Spratling for his incredible contribution over his 7 years as President of the Carngham Linton Football Netball Club. 📣 2027 JUNIOR NETBALL COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

We’re excited to announce our 2027 Junior Netball Coaching appointments!

17 & Under – Jess Whitcher

Jess has been a fantastic contributor to our club, having played A Grade for the past three years and stepping up as Team Manager of our D Grade side in 2026.

She is a keen learner, passionate about improving her own skills and is currently working towards her Foundation Coaching Accreditation.

Jess brings great enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a genuine love for the game. She has been an awesome part of our club, and we know she will be a fantastic role model for our junior players.

We’re so excited to see Jess take this next step and share her knowledge, passion and experience with our 17 & Under team.

15 & Under Co-Coaches – Lily Purcell & Hannah Pinder

Lily has been a valued member of our club for over seven years and has consistently shown what it means to be a fantastic club person, teammate and role model.

Her enthusiasm, positive attitude and willingness to learn make her a wonderful addition to our coaching team. Lily brings a strong understanding of our club, a love for the game and a passion for helping younger players develop and enjoy their netball.

Lily is also working towards her Foundation Coaching Accreditation, demonstrating her commitment to continuing to grow her coaching knowledge and skills.

Hannah is a loyal and valued club person who has consistently given her time, energy and support to our club, particularly our junior players.

Over the past couple of years, Hannah has been involved in coaching our juniors, building valuable experience and developing a strong understanding of what our younger netballers need to grow, develop and enjoy their netball.

Last season, Hannah also stepped into the role of Team Manager for both our 13s and 15s, further strengthening her connection with our junior players and gaining valuable insight into both teams.

Hannah works positively and supportively with others and understands the importance of communication, teamwork and creating a positive environment for players and fellow coaches.

We’re so pleased to see Jess, Lily and Hannah continue their netball journeys and take on these exciting coaching roles in 2027.

❤️🤍🖤 BRODY BENSON & SAM HOPPER – RE-SIGNED FOR 2027 🖤🤍❤️

The Carngham Linton Football Netball Club is excited to announce that Brody Benson and Sam Hopper have both re-signed for 2027. Two quality young men both on and off the field.

Brody’s football speaks for itself. A very versatile player with great hands, a great kick and a fantastic clubman. He had an abrupt end to his 2026 season, with injury preventing him from playing the final six games. Prior to that, he was having another great season. We can’t wait to see him back on the ground in 2027, showing everyone his football talents.

Sammy had an amazing 2026 season, showing everyone his football talents, whether it was floating across half-back taking intercept marks, driving us forward or showing amazing leadership out on the ground.

Both of these young men have so many leadership qualities and have plenty to offer our playing group.

They are also great clubmen off the field and will be instrumental in helping us have a successful year in 2027.

Well done, guys, on your commitment to the mighty Saints. We can’t wait to see you both running around again in 2027.

📣 2027 JUNIOR FOOTBALL COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

The Carngham Linton Football Netball Club is excited to announce our Junior Football Coaches for the 2027 season!

Under 18 – Matt Spratling

Matt Spratling will continue his involvement in our junior football program as our Under 18 Coach for 2027. Matt has played an important role in the development of our Under 18 players and brings plenty of football knowledge and experience to the group. We are excited to see him continue building on the foundations already established and helping prepare our young players for the transition into senior football.

Under 15 – Ryan Pridham & Shannon Sculley

Ryan Pridham and Shannon Sculley will return to lead our Under 15 footballers in 2027. The pair have continued to build strong relationships with our junior players while placing a strong focus on skill development, teamwork and creating a positive environment for the group. Their return provides great continuity for our junior program, and we look forward to seeing them continue developing this group both on and off the field.

Under 12 – Ben Carey

Ben Carey will also return as our Under 12 Coach for the 2027 season. Ben has quickly become an important part of our junior football program and has developed strong connections with our youngest footballers. His enthusiasm and involvement provide a great starting point for players beginning their journey through the club.

Having returning coaches across all three junior teams provides great continuity for our program and allows us to continue building a strong pathway from Under 12s through to senior football.

Congratulations Matt, Ryan, Shannon and Ben. We can’t wait to see what our junior footballers can achieve in 2027!
