Leongatha Town Scorpions | 2026/27 Season Preview

Leongatha Town heads into the new season with plenty to build on. The women’s team and combined Under 17 and Under 15 sides all reached grand finals in 2025/26, giving the Scorpions a strong platform for the year ahead.

Adam Trotto takes charge as head senior coach, with Jack Hume leading A Grade, Colin Bruce captaining B Grade, Alex Aeschlimann leading C Grade and Nat Challis captaining the women’s side. Town will also field Under 13 and Under 11 teams, keeping young Scorpions involved at every stage.

The club welcomes new players across all grades. With its women’s and junior programs coming off strong seasons, Town will be eager to see what this group can achieve in 2026/27.

The Women's Scorps are gearing up for an exciting season - starting soon!

There's a few changes to the rules - the big one is that out is out and batters retire after 20 balls or 35 runs.

What hasn't changed is the vibe, the excitement, and the fun Sunday T-20 format.

We are stoked to keep developing and be part of the growth in women's participation in cricket in our region.

Can't wait to see you at home and away this summer!

What are you up to Grand Final Weekend?

It's all happening at Scorpion Park!

On the Friday public holiday, Town is hosting our green and gold friends from Hallora Cricket Club. While we're not playing for sheep stations, it is sure to be a heap of fun and an exciting taster for the season ahead.

For footy fans on Grand Final Day there's no better place to be (except maybe the MCG) than right here at the rooms. You won't miss a moment with our two big screens. Cold drinks, hot snacks, and great company. It's the perfect formula.

Ferg and Gen were stoked to meet Harry and Tom today and participate in a cricket clinic with the little legends at St Laurence Primary school along with friends from Imps and Koony Cricket Clubs. It’s so rewarding to see kids have a go at cricket. 🦂

Dads who play, Dads who coach, Dads who mow, Dads who get the grass stains out of the whites, Dads who pressure wash the nets, Dads-to-be, Great Grandads, Dads in the kitchen, we've even got Dads who don't much care for cricket but come along for the ride.
